Highlights: - The view of Loch Lomond from Conic Hill - Countless mountain passes and stunning scenery - Superb snaking highland singletrack - Ancient drove roads leading to Glencoe - Travelling the length of Loch Ness Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Arrive in Glasgow. Whether arriving by bus, train or plane we can pick you up and take you to your accommodation. We’ll get the bikes ready for the journey ahead and have a pre-trip briefing. Day 2: We head out of the city via some scenic cycle paths, through Mugdock Country Park. Our first major challenge is Conic Hill, which is worth the effort for stunning views over Loch Lomond. Our accommodation is right on the shore of the Loch. Day 3: We follow the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond and charge head-on into the Highlands on old military and drove roads surrounded by some of Scotland’s most impressive, towering peaks. We spend the night at the head of Glencoe. Day 4: We cycle through Glencoe - what a way to start the day! Then, after passing through Kinlochleven, we tackle one of the biggest climbs of the trip. The trail is challenging and technical and we are totally enclosed by mountains as we head ever forward towards Ben Nevis. We spend the night in Fort William, at the foot of Scotland’s highest mountain. Day 5: From Fort William we continue into the Great Glen and some quick miles along the Caledonian Canal. The scenery is fantastic along Loch Lochy, through beautiful forests on the banks of the loch. Our day ends at the quiet village of Invergarry. Day 6: Today we cycle along the banks of Loch Ness – keep your eyes peeled for the monster! The imposing ruin of Urquhart Castle marks the end of the day at the bustling town of Drumnadrochit, right on the banks of Loch Ness. Day 7: Great wilderness trails, some amazing man made singletrack and a final stretch of the Caledonian Canal take us to the Capital of the Highlands and our journey’s end at Inverness. You now have the chance to celebrate your awesome achievement or just collapse in a heap - well done, you made it! Notes: This tour costs from £480 for a self guided, 6 day, 7 night trip to £1155 for a fully guided, 6 day, 7 night trip depending on group size and accommodation options chosen.
