Sajama, part of a National Park, boasts highland fauna and flora, magnificent views of the Royal Mountain Range and colorful colonial villages with quaint churches. Sajama Full Day: Departure from La Paz at 7:00. Arrive to Sajama National Park at noon, where we visit the highest keñua wood in the world. Lunch at Kasilla hot springs and afternoon you will visit the volcanic geysers. At 16:00 will be returning to La Paz arriving at 21:00.
Tour Itinerary: Day 1: La Paz - Tomarapi. The tour starts in La Paz city towards Curahuara de Carangas, you will visit the "Chullpares" (Mortuary Towers) and the 17th century´s church of Curahuara known as the Sistine Chapel of Bolivia, continue the trip towards the Sajama National Park. The Aymara Community´s lodge is called Tomarapi, where you will have lunch and spend the night. In the afternoon you will visit Caripe and you will see the local handicrafts elaboration process and the alpaca´s wool extraction. At the end of the afternoon, walk back to Tomarapi enjoying great views of Sajama mountain and the sorrounding swamps. By night, you will have a welcoming dinner at the lodge. Nigth at the Eco - Touristic lodge of Tomarapi. Day 2: Tomarapi - La Paz. The tour stats with a typical breakfast. Visit the protected area and several important attractions such as the Huayñakota lagoon, where you will appreciate many Andean birds. Take a relaxing hot spring bath and continue the journey towards the higuest Queñua forest (Andean Tree) in the world. Enjoy your boxlunch at the Geysers. Visit the picturesque village of Sajama, where you will see the church. During the entire tour, especially around the National Park, you will find hundreds of different kind of llamas, alpacas and vicuñas. Return to the city of La Paz. Notes: Price Includes:
