Tsaghkadzor is provided with all necessary facilities offering skiing opportunities both to professionals and amateurs. There are also paths for bobsleighing and sledging. Equipments rental is available and in case of necessity the instructors can also help you to improve your skills.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: We will meet you at Zvartnots airport in Yerevan and will accompany to a nice restaurant to enjoy meal and to rest after the flight. After the restaurant we will visit "Ararat" Brandy Company to taste brandy and to get introduced with its history in Armenia. In the evening we will take a trip to Tsaghkadzor, where you will check in at the comfortable cottages of Splendor hotel. Dinner in a restaurant. Why not to meet with your fellow travelers in a disco club in the evening?
Day 2: After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you will be given an orientation tour of the base area and then left to explore the resort at your own pace. This is a great chance to enjoy alpine skiing. The mild climate, the plenitude of snow (the snow cover is about 1, 40 m thick) and the crystal clear air here tempt both professional skiers and nature lovers. The landscape is even more picturesque when looking from the heights of the rope way. On the first station of the rope way there is a nice restaurant, where you will stop for lunch. Then you can continue the way up. The highest station here is at about 3000 m height above sea level, from where you will have superb panoramic view of Mt. Ararat, Lake Sevan and the relief of numerous snow capped peaks. Dinner in the hotel. The evening will be full of pleasant moments next to the fire accompanied with music and games.
Day 3: After the breakfast at the hotel, you will have a short trip to Sevan to admire the "wintry image" of the lake and to visit Sevanavank located on the peninsula. The lunch is foreseen here in a restaurant with a breathtaking view over the lake. You will be back to Tsaghkadzor at about midday just at the heat of the multitude activities of this vibrant city. The five skiing trails in all range of difficulties are of great fame both among the professionals and also those who do not feel very sure on the skies, while the steep slopes (up to 270 degrees) are only for extreme lovers. There are also special routes for sledging. You will have your dinner served in a warm and glassy restaurant built in a cozy nook of the forest.
Day 4: Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure. Today at the lunch time you will have the chance to see how the local people bake traditional bread "lavash" in underground pits. Don't miss this ritual, it's worth seeing. Just some more hours of leisure in Tsaghkadzor. Farewell party in the evening.
Day 5: Transfer to the airport, departure.
