During these days Camargue and Provence live the maximum Spring splendor, so traveling will become the occasion to discover or rediscover those sceneries, places and colors that inspired the great Van Gogh. The atmosphere is magic, Camargue' nature fascinating and the charm of the Feast extraordinary: an unmissable event if you enjoy traditions and folks!
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: May 22, Thursday. 10:00 a.m. Departure from Florence by bus GT. Stop in Genoa to let the ones from close places get in. Just a quick break and then let's go! 7:30 p.m. Scheduled arrival in Arles and accommodation in a very nice 2 star hotel.
Day 2: May 23, Friday. Morning dedicated to Arles, City Centre Tour. 11:30 a.m. Transfer to Les Baux de Provence, to visit the centre and castle, from which you can admire Camargue and Provence beautiful landscape. Les Baux is famous for its wines, for the well preserved city centre and for shops... Lunch not included. In the first afternoon transfer to Avignon to visit the Popes Palace and the historical city centre. Dinner in the city center. Overnight stay in Arles.
Day 3: May 24, Saturday. The Gypsy Feast starts with the Morning Mass and goes on with several events all day long. We won't loose neither a minute, until the group of guardians, Gypsies and celebrants will reach the sea with Saint Sara, for a general bath accompanied by gypsy music... Lunch not included and Dinner to be set. Overnight stay in Arles.
Day 4: May 25, Sunday. Departure in the early morning to come back to Italy. Stop in Saint Paul de Vence. Arrival in Florence scheduled at 5:00 p.m. Travelers coming from outside Italy could take the chance to add some days to spend in Tuscany or traveling in Italy: just ask us!
