Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Saturday - fly from Beijing/Xian/Chengdu/Kunming/Kathmandu to the Gonggar airport of Lhasa, (60km from the main city), meet our representative and transfer to Tsetang and check in.
Day 2: Sunday AM - visit Yumbulakhang Palace & Trandduk temple, PM - visit the Ancient Tibetan King’s Tombs in Chongye valley, o/n in Tsetang.
Day 3: Monday - drive to Lhasa and visit Samye Monastery en route, o/n in Lhasa.
Day 4: Tuesday AM - visit Potala Palace, PM - visit Sera Monastery and Norbulinka.
Day 5: Wednesday AM - visit Drepung Monastery, PM - visit Jorkhang Temple & Barkhor street.
Day 6: Thursday - full day excursion to Namtso Lake, so called the “Sky Lake”, same day drive back to Lhasa and visit Yangpacheng Hot Spring en route, o/n in Lhasa.
Day 7: Friday - drive to Gyantse via Yamdrok Lake, o/n in Gyantse.
Day 8: Saturday - visit Pelku Chode & Kumbum Monastery in Gyantse, after lunch drive to Shigatse, o/n in Shigatse.
Day 9: Sunday AM - visit Tashilunbo Monastery, PM - visit free market in Shigatse, o/n in Shigatse.
Day 10: Monday - drive back to Lhasa from Shigatse via new road, o/n in Lhasa.
Day 11: Tuesday - UE Transfer to Gonggar airport and fly to Beijing/Xian/Chengdu/Kunming/Kathmandu, tour ends!
Saturday departures. Return on Tuesdays.
