Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Fly from Beijing/Xian/Chengdu/Kunming/Kathmandu to the Gonggar airport of Lhasa, (60km from the main city), meet our representative and transfer to Tsetang and check in.
Day 2: AM - visit Yumbulakhang Palace & Trandduk temple, PM - visit the Ancient Tibetan King’s Tombs in Chongye valley, o/n in Tsetang.
Day 3: Drive to Lhasa and visit Samye Monastery en route, o/n in Lhasa.
Day 4: AM - visit Potala Palace, PM - visit Sera Monastery and Norbulinka.
Day 5: AM - visit Drepung Monastery, PM - visit Jorkhang Temple & Barkhor street.
Day 6: Full day excursion to Namtso Lake, so called the “Sky Lake”, same day drive back to Lhasa and visit Yangpacheng Hot Spring en route, o/n in Lhasa.
Day 7: Drive to Gyantse via Yamdrok Lake, o/n in Gyantse.
Day 8: Visit Pelku Chode & Kumbum Monastery in Gyantse, after lunch drive to Shigatse, o/n in Shigatse.
Day 9: AM - visit Tashilunbo Monastery, PM - drive to Xegar and visit Sakya Monastery en route, o/n in Xegar.
Day 10: Drive from Xegar to Dza Rongbuk Monastery, excursion from Rongbuk to Everest Base Camp I by local carriage, and return. o/n at Rongbuk.
Day 11: Excursion around Rongbuk and Everest region, same day drive directly to Nyalam, o/n in Nyalam.
Day 12: Drive to Zhangmu border, go through the Zhangmu China Custom formalities, drive down to Friendship bridge, exit to Nepal, tour ends!
