Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, within an enormous concrete cubicle, surrounded by guards in bleached-white uniforms, lies Ho Chi Minh's embalmed body - despite his request to be cremated. It's a free tour, and it's interesting to see how the visitors - from elderly VC comrades on a pilgrimage from South Vietnam to foreign student groups - react to the sight of old Uncle Ho. Many more to explore there in most busy Asia capital.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival – Hanoi. On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you are met and transferred to hotel. Ha Noi, Vietnam's capital, is a stylish and gracious city that retains an unique old world charm and some Asia‘s most striking colonial architecture. (If time permits) we enjoy a short cycles ride around the old quarter streets. Overnight in Ha Noi. Includes: (B)

Day 2: Hanoi. Today, we start our city tour with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the President Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city. Heading out of this area, we continue seeing Hanoi with the Temple of Literature well known as Vietnam’s first university, the History Museum which delays an excellent collection of artifacts illustrating the Vietnamese history and the peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem with its sacred temple. The beautiful West Lake and the impressive Ethnological Museum, dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minorities, are not to be missed. We visit these sights before attending an evening performance of Hanoi’s famous water puppets. Overnight in Hanoi. Includes: (B)
