Saronic Gulf Islands: This group of small islands lies in the Saronic Gulf, to the south of Attica.
Aegina: Famous for its pottery, is covered with pistachio trees. Its beautiful green villages are surrounded by pine forests. Aegina is also the home to one of antiquity's most famous temples, to Aphaia.
Poros: A bit further out, its immaculate beaches slide out of the pine forest. The picturesque Zoodohou Pigis monastery is worth a visit.
Hydra: The island is famous for its maritime tradition, as is Spetses. The Hora is picturesque and beautiful, with high and colourful sea captains mansions lining the waterfront while a stark gray hill rises in the background. Between the mansions are narrow streets with taverns and shops, where the foreigners gather after they reach the small port of this charming island.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Upon arrival in Athens, transfer to your hotel for overnight.
Day 2: In the morning, we will be transferred to the Piraeus port to embark our boat. During our tour, we will enjoy a visit to Hydra, Poros and Aegina, the three most famous Saronic islands.
Day 3: Today is a day at leisure during which we propose:
- A sightseeing tour of Athens including the visit of the Acropole
- An excursion to the archaeological site of Delphi
- A morning tour to either Cape Sounion or the Canal of Corinth
In the evening, overnight ferry to Santorini. For those who prefer, we can also propose a flight to + overnight in Santorini.
Day 4: For this day spent in Santorini, you may want to share the day between some beach fun on one of the black beaches of the island and then a walk through the tiny streets of either Thira or Oia.
Day 5: Depending on ferry schedules, we will sail to Mykonos for overnight.
Day 6: Boat excursion to the sacred island of Delos which used to be once the political and religious center of the Cycladic islands.
Day 7: Day at leisure in Mykonos during which you may enjoy a boat tour around the island, a sightseeing tour or just have fun on the beach. In the evening, overnight ferry to Athens or, if you prefer, flight to and overnight in Athens.
