This overland escorted tour begins in Cancun on Thursdays and includes a luxury A/C vehicle, professional driver, and expert guide. Day 1:
CANCUN
Arrive in Cancun and transit to Hotel Meson Del Marquez in Valladollid. Welcome dinner and recption provided.

Day 2:
DZITNUP, CHICHEN ITZA, UXMAL
Visit Dzitnup, an underground wonder of the Yucatan's natural hydraulic system. Tour the Mayan legacy of Chichen Itza with its impressive Castillo, Ball Court, Temple of the Warriors, Sacred Cenote, Caracol, and Court of the Thousand Columns. After dinner, enjoy the light and sound show held within the ceremonial center at Uxmal.

Day 3:
UXMAL, KABAH, LABNA, MERIDA
Tour Uxmal's Temple of the Magician, Nunnery Quadrangle, Governor's Palace, and the elaborately carved House of the Doves. On the way to Merida, visit the sites of Kabah, Labna, Mayapan, and the village of Oxhutzkab and its colorful fruit market.

Day 4:
CELESTUN, MERIDA
A leisurely drive and a delightful boat cruise permit viewing of the pink flamingos and other species of wildlife within the Celestun Biosophere Reserve. After lunch on the shore of the lagoon, tour the parks, avenues, Spanish missions, and French-colonial architecture of Merida.

Day 5:
DZIBILCHALTUN, CHICXULUB, IZAMAL, CANCUN
The magnificence of Dzibilchaltun lies in its stucco sculptures and ceramics representing several periods of Mayan occupation. Explore the Temple of the Seven Dolls amd other structures. After touring the waterfront town of Progresso, lunch in Chicxulub at a cozy restaurant with an inviting view of the beach. A huge convent was built over a Mayan temple in Izamal in 1561. See more of the Yucatan on the way to Cancun for the farewell dinner and overnight stay.

DEPART CANCUN
Depending on departure schedules, there may be time to stroll near the water's edge and search for bargains and souvenirs in Cancun's excellent shops.
