Your Itinerary

Day 1:
TUESDAY - ARRIVE GUATEMALA. Airport greeting and transfer to hotel in Guatemala City’s fashionable Zone 10.

Day 2:
WEDNESDAY - EL BAUL AND CHICHICASTENANGO. Morning drive to the archaeological sites of El Baul and Democracia on the southern coast of Guatemala. Arrive Chichicastenango in the afternoon for overnight accommodations.

Day 3:
THURSDAY - CHICHICASTENANGO AND QUETZALTENANGO. Wake up to the sounds and smells of Guatemala’s largest outdoor Indian marketplace in this “Holy City of the Quiche”. The town springs to life on marketdays. Merchants from miles around flock here to sell handicrafts, textiles, leather goods, produce, flowers and animals in an enclave that has changed little over the centuries. In the afternoon continue to guiet, refined Quetzaltenango for overnight.

Day 4:
FRIDAY - THE ALMOLONGA VALLEY AND LAKE ATITLAN. Visit the open air market of San Francisco El Alto, the church of San Andres Xecul and the beautiful Valley of Almolonga. Continue to the town of Panajachel on Lake Atitlan, often called the most beautiful lake in the World.

Day 5:
SATURDAY - LAKE ATITLAN AND ANTIGUA. After breakfast enjoy a boat ride across Lake Atitlan to the Indian village of Santiago Atitlan. Afternoon drive to Antigua, the former Spanish capital of all Central America. This evening you should have time to stroll the cobblestone streets of charming historic Antigua.

Day 6:
SUNDAY - ANTIGUA guided tour this morning. You will visit the Governors’ Palace, Cathedrals, the University of San Carlos as well as museums and shops. This afternoon return to Guatemala City for overnight.
