Day 1:
ARRIVE IN MEXICO CITY. Tour members will be met on arrival and transferred to the Hotel Maria Isabel Sheraton. Welcome to Mexico. Look forward to a journey through majestic cities, unspoiled landscapes and magnificent colonial monuments. An evening orientation in your hotel where you will meet your fellow travlers before your welcome dinner at Hotel Maria Isabel Sheraton.

Day 2:
ROSARIO BUTTERFLY SANCTUARY; ANGANGUEO. This morning we will depart for Angangueo. Visit Zitacuaro, a colonial and historical city with beautiful monuments and picturesque red tile roofs. Continue to Angangueo, a pretty mountain town with a population of 9,700 at an altitude of almost 3000 meters. This afternoon we travel to the nearby Rosario Butterfly Sanctuary, where a path takes us up a groomed, but sometimes fairly steep, trail. The density of butterflies increases until we reach the epicenter of the resting monarchs, where millions of monarchs cover the tall fir trees. Overnight at Hotel Posada Don Bruno.

Day 3:
CHINCUA BUTTERFLY SANCTUARY; ANGANGUEO
We drive to the Chincua Butterfly Sanctuary where we have the opportunity to ride horses, and then walk down into the area of high butterfly density. This afternoon we enjoy a tour of the village of Angangueo. Hotel Posada Don Bruno.

Day 4:
VALLE DE BRAVO. Today we shall explore the lovely village of Valle de Bravo, located along the shores of an enormous lake. We have the opportunity to relax in luxury after two days of butterfly tracking. Hotel Avandaro Spa & Resort

Day 5:
PIEDRA HERRADA SANCTUARY;TOLUCA; MEXICO CITY
Our final journey takes us to the Piedra Herrada Sanctuary, the newest spot opened for viewing the monarchs. This area is "wilder" than the previous two sanctuaries and often provides a more remote nature experience. We return to Mexico City for a wonderful farewell dinner. Hotel Maria Isabel Sheraton.

Transfer to Mexico City airport for departure flight.
