Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Damascus International Airport. Meet & Assist, hotel transfer for overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-day tour of Damascus: Azem Palace, National Museum, Tekkiye Mosque, Suq al-Hamidiye, Umayyad Mosque, Mausoleum of Saladin, Christian quarters of Bab Tuma and Bab Sharqi, Chapel of St. Ananias, St. Paul's window. Overnight stay in Damascus.

Day 3: Full-day excursion to southern Syria: 6th Century Church of Ezraa, the Roman theatre of Bosra, the mosaic museum of Shahba, and the Byzantine ruins of Qanawat. Overnight stay in Damascus.

Day 4: Transfer to Lebanon; on the way to Beirut visit the Umayyad Palace of Anjar and the Palace of Beiteddine. City tour and overnight stay in Beirut.

Day 5: Jeita Grotto, Byblos, Bekaa Valley, Baalbek ruins of the Roman Temple of Jupiter. Return to Syria, overnight stay in Homs.

Day 6: Krak des Chevaliers crusader castle, continue to Tartous and visit the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Tortosa. Arrive in the early evening for overnight stay in the coastal town of Lattakia.

Day 7: Ugarit, Saladin's Castle, and the colonnaded streets of Apamea. Continue to Hama, visit the famous Norias (waterwheels). Overnight stay in Hama.

Day 8: Transfer to Aleppo for city tour: National Museum, covered souks, caravansaries, Aleppo citadel. Overnight stay in Aleppo.

Day 9: Travel eastward along the Euphrates to the Castle of Jaber, Lake Assad, the fortress of Resafe, and the Palmyrian castle of Halebiye or Zalabiya. Overnight stay in Deir Ez-Zor.

Day 10: Continue southeast along the Euphrates to Dura Europos (Hellenic) and Mari (Mesopotamian). Overnight stay in Palmyra.

Day 11: City tour of Palmyra: Temple of Bel, colonnaded streets and the Necropolis. Afternoon transfer via Maalula to Damascus. Overnight stay in Damascus.

Day 12: Transfer to the airport for departure.
