Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, meet and assist, transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Visit of Amman, including the Citadel, the Roman Theater with its museums and a visit to the Darat Al Funun Art Gallery which boasts the remains of a Byzantine Church in its gardens. Afternoon visit of the Roman city of Jerash (Gerasa), featuring the remains of more than 20 churches, beautiful amphitheaters and colonnaded streets. Overnight in Amman.

Day 3: Travel towards the Jordan River, to Bethany and Tel Al Kharrar, where Joshua, Elijah and Elisha crossed the Jordan River. An optional 40-minute walk leads to the ruins of a Byzantine monastery believed to be the church commemorating John the Baptist. Visit Lot's Cave and the 6th century ruins of a Byzantine complex with mosaics dedicated to the cave where Lot and his daughters took refuge after the destruction of Sodom. Overnight in Amman.

Day 4: Visit to the 'mosaic city' of Madaba, featuring the oldest known mosaic map of the Holy Land. Continue to the town of Siyagha, now more often referred to as Mt. Nebo. Next stop is at Machaerus, better known to some as Makawir. Further south lies Qer Harreseth, the biblical name for Kerak. We end our day with a drive to the rose-red city of Petra for overnight.

Day 5: This day is dedicated to visiting the spectacular site of Petra, located near the town of Wadi Musa (the Valley of Moses). With its many spectacular temples and sites, the visit of Petra will take up the whole day, if not more. Overnight in Petra.

Day 6: Depart Petra to Wadi Rum, for desert excursion by jeep or camel. Midday arrival at Red Sea port of Aqaba. Overnight in Aqaba.

Day 7: Departure from Aqaba port or return to Amman to fly out from Queen Alia International Airport.
