From the lush rice paddies in the low lands, our journey begins by meandering along 'balconies', trails cut out of the mountainside and then gradually climbing towards our Base Camp destination.
From Base Camp, we have an incredible view of summits such as Annapurna I, Machapuchare, the sacred mountain, and Annapurna South, to name but a few. Interaction with the local population is an important aspect of this walk, as many villages are crossed. We can observe and, at times, participate in Nepali daily life.
From religious ceremonies to myths, we will attempt to transmit our knowledge of Nepal and try to give you a better understanding of its varied ethnic and religious groups. A photographer's bonanza, the Sanctuary trek allows for a huge variety of landscapes, changing almost daily, as we climb steadily higher each day.
This trek is supported by a staff of English-speaking Sherpa guides, along with porters to carry all of you baggage. Sightseeing in Kathmandu at the start and at the end of the trek is part of this magical experience.
