Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Sea of Galilee/Capernaum/Tabgha. Meet and assist at the borders, drive to the Sea of Galilee. We will visit Mount of Beatitudes the hill at the northwestern point of the Sea of Galilee where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1-8). With its view toward Capernaum and Tabgha, the hill is shaped with a natural hollow that serves as natural amphitheater amplifying the speaker’s voice. After that we will drive to Tabgha the Site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes, and the post resurrection appearance of Jesus (Mark 6:34-44; Matthew 14:14-21; John 21:15-19; Matthew 16:18-19). An early Byzantine Church was discovered in 1932 and rebuilt in 1982 as the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes. After that we drive to Capernaum located on the shore of Sea of Galilee. Capernaum was the center of Jesus ministry. Jesus lived here for a substantial period, healing the sick, preaching in the synagogue and performing miracles (Matthew 9:1, 4:13). After that we will go to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Cana/Nazareth/Jordan River. After breakfast we start by sailing on Sea of Galilee, then we drive to Cana in Galilee, Site of Jesus first miracle – the transformation of water into wine at the Wedding Feast (John 2:1-11, 4:46-45). After that we will drive to Nazareth. The City of Nazareth is located in the heart of an undulating valley, where Jesus spent his childhood and lived with Joseph and Mary (Luke 1:26-38). Then we will drive to the Jordan River, Israel most important river, were Jesus was baptized in the river (Mark 1:9-11). John was also baptized here (John 1:28). After that we will go to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Haifa/Caesarea/Jaffa/Jerusalem. Check out of the hotel driving to the city of Haifa and visiting the Stella Maris ministry and the cave of profit Elijah and visit the Bahai Gardens. We then continue via the coastal plain passing by the city of Caesarea to the city of Jaffa, one of the oldest cities in the Holy Land to visit the Church of St. Peter and stand on the old tell of Jaffa. We drive to the city of Jerusalem to the hotel for overnight.
Day 4: Jerusalem/Mount Zion/Bethlehem. This morning we begin on the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit the chapel of the Ascension, the Church of Pater Noster and walk along Palm Sunday road to the garden of Gethsemane. Also visit the Church of all Nations that stands on the rock of the Agony. View the Eastern (golden) Gate and the Pinnacle of the temple. Drive to Mount Zion visit the Cenacle, the site of the Last Supper and the Tomb of David. We then proceed to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. We will visit the Church of the Nativity, Manger Square and the Shepherd’s Fields. Then we return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Jerusalem/Old City. We will have a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem beginning at the Dung Gate, visit the Wailing Wall and see Mount Moriah - Dome of the Rock, where the traditions holds that Abraham took Isaac to be sacrificed. Walk the Via Dolorosa, the way of the cross, passing through the picturesque native bazaars. We visit the Holy Sepulcher church-Golgotha and the Roman Cardo the oldest street in Jerusalem (Protestant Groups do the Garden Tomb instead of the holy sepulcher) proceeding to the hotel for overnight.
Day 6: Jericho/Departure. Check out from the hotel drive through Judean Hills to visit the oldest city in the world Jericho dating 10000 years, and then transfer to the border for departure.
