Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Brukenthal Museum Founded in 1870, it is the oldest museum in our country. Its name comes from its founder - Samuel Brukenthal, a former governor of Transylvania and one of the most famous collectors of antiques. Evangelical Church Built in several stages between 14th-15th centuries in Gothic style, it contains a commanding tower, where you can view the entire city.
Sighisoara citadel This medieval citadel, still inhabited, was built in several steps between 14th - 17th centuries. It appears as a nucleus of massive houses painted in different colors and placed on small streets, surrounded by the defense wall, 7 km length and 14 towers.

Day 2: Cluj-Napoca It is an ancient cradle of Romanian culture and civilization. It lies at the center of the county, at the crossroads of important national and international highways. The most important urban center of Transylvania is a city with two names: Napoca is the name of the ancient Dacian fortress, and Cluj is the Latin word which denominated it subsequently. These days Cluj-Napoca is recognized as the capital of Transylvania. The Orthodox Cathedral - Built in 1795, this was the first Orthodox church to be built in Cluj. The Catholic Cathedral Saint Michael The construction started in 1350, and took over two centuries. It is an impressive and valuable monument of Gothic architecture sheltering remarkable interior paintings. The tower, built in Baroc style, is 80 m in height and it was erected between the years 1836 – 1862.

Day 3: Sighetu Marmatiei town (usually known as Sighet) It is located in Maramures, one of the most remote and most beautiful areas of Romania, near the border with the Ukraine. Created in 1993, The Museum from Sighet, which is often confused with the Memorial, was created by the International Center for Studies on Communism, which was actually its forerunner and continues to function, feeding it with new data, documents and acquisitions.
The Memorial of the Victims of Communism - Made up of a Museum - situated in the former political prison in Sighet - and an International Center for Studies about Communism - with its headquarters in Bucharest - The Memorial aims to rebuild the memory of certain nations, particularly the Romanians, who for half of a century have been misled with a false history.

Day 4: Sucevita Monastery is fortified like a citadel with guard towers on its four corners. Thousands of pictures decorate the church’s walls, a remarkable one being the complex 'Joshua’s Tree' from the southern wall.
Moldovita Monastery. Inside the 16th century furniture survives, including Prince Petru Rares’ chair, as large as a throne. Because the Prince is the founder of Moldovita his statue stands outside.

Day 5: Marginea is a special place in the heart of Bucovina where skillful potters make the famous black pottery known all over the world.
Humor Monastery, founded in 1530, is quite small. Its paintings include illustrations of 'Siege of Constantinople', which shows the feelings of the Romanians towards the invading Turks. On other walls there are the 'Return of the Prodigal Son' and the 'Devil amusingly', depicted as a greedy woman.
Voronet Monastery, nicknamed the 'Sixtine Chapel of the East' was built by Stephen the Great in 1488 and the vibrant colors of its frescoes were added later. An interesting point is that the archangels’ trumpets take the shape of the local shepherds’ horn or 'bucium' and the souls doomed to hellfire wear the turbans of the Turkish enemy.

Day 6: The Palace of Culture. It represents the last and the most Eastern manifestation of the European neo-gothic style, expression of Romanticism in the 'official' architecture specific to the end of the century. It houses 'Moldova' National Complex of Museums, represented by the four national museums (Moldavian History Museum, The Art Museum, The Ethnographic Museum of Moldavia and The Museum of Science and Technique), the Regional Restoration-Conservation Laboratory and the Office for the National Cultural Patrimony.
The Monastery of the Three Saint Hierarchy. The most beautiful foundation of Prince Vasile Lupu, a real symphony of arts in prayer, the church of the Three Hierarchy was built between 1637-1639 and was consecrated by Metropolitan Varlaam on the 6th of May 1639. From an architectural point of view, the church assumes the traditional Moldavian style, with the well-established structure of the interior: vestibule, pronaos, naos and altar.
The Metropolitan Cathedral. It is a monumental building from the XIX-th century, situated within a perimeter filled with evidence of the seat of the Metropolitans of Moldavia. Mother of all churches and Mother of the country, as it was affectionately named by its first founders, the today Cathedral, has three feast days (Saint Paraskeve, The Presentation of the Lord, Saint George) and houses the holy relics of Saint Paraskeve.

Day 7: Cotroceni Palace Built in 1893 by the French architect Paul Gottereau. It was designed as the permanent residence of Prince Ferdinand. It is placed in the middle of a splendid garden and contains many representative elements of Romanian architecture. Today it holds also the residence of the Romanian Presidency.
House of the People/The Parliament Palace Built between 1984-1989. As surface, it is the biggest administrative construction in Europe and the 2nd in the world, after the U.S. Pentagon, in Washington D.C, having an area of 330 000 square meters. As volume, the Guinness Book ranks this building as the third in the world.
