Day 2: The Palace of Culture. It represents the last and the most Eastern manifestation of the European neo-gothic style, expression of Romanticism in the 'official' architecture specific to the end of the century. It houses 'Moldova' National Complex of Museums, represented by the four national museums (Moldavian History Museum, The Art Museum, The Ethnographic Museum of Moldavia and The Museum of Science and Technique), the Regional Restoration-Conservation Laboratory and the Office for the National Cultural Patrimony.
The Monastery of the Three Saint Hierarchs. The most beautiful foundation of Prince Vasile Lupu, a real symphony of arts in prayer, the church of the Three Hierarchs was built between 1637-1639 and was consecrated by Metropolitan Varlaam on the 6th of May 1639. From an architectural point of view, the church assumes the traditional Moldavian style, with the well-established structure of the interior: vestibule, pronaos, naos and altar.

Dragomirna Monastery - Most of the monasteries are related to the name of Stefan cel Mare (Stephen the Great), ruler of Moldavia between 1457 and 1504, and under whose patronage over 30 edifices were built. The architectural art of the monastery is unique, combining the Byzantine tradition and the Occidental influences in a manner that will become later on specific to Moldavian architecture. The monastery of Dragomirna was built in a marvelous area, close to the forest, beyond the village Mitocul Dragomirnei, 12 kilometers from the town of Suceava.

Striking red, blue, yellow and brown colors characterize the Biblical scenes depicted around the Moldovita Monastery. Inside the 16th century furniture survives, including Prince Petru Rares’ chair, as large as a throne. Because the Prince is the founder of Moldovita his statue stands outside.
