Desert tours in Autumn and Spring, with wonderful landscapes and representative desert life. See the challenge of providing sources of water by using the Qanat underground water system which dates back to 3,000 years ago and many other attractions. Desert tours start and finish in Tehran and there are options to visit both the Lot desert and (Dasht-e-kavir) the central desert. You will see beautiful sites, nature in different shapes and colors, salt lakes, sand dunes, mountains, oriental desert villages with the warm hospitality of the locals, and if you are lucky wild asses and other desert animals. Also you will enjoy ancient cities showing thousands of years of art, architecture and civilization with friendly people who welcome their guests with tremendous hospitality.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arriving in Imam Khomaini airport transferring to Tehran. Overnight: hotel.

Day 2: Moving to Moaleman village via Semnan and Damghan (silk road crossing desert from west to east) visiting salt mine with the colorful salt rocks and one of the oldest mosque in Islam world, Jameh Mosque and ancient gate of the Semnan city. Overnight: camp (450 Km).

Day 3: Moving to Jandagh (a typical desert village) visiting the castle, traditional brick cooking factory, two of the longest and deepest Qanats (subterranean water system) crossing each other. Overnight: camp or local house (180 Km).

Day 4: Visiting Mesr village and moving to Khour town, Garmeh and Bayazeh village two typical oasis (with a beautiful old castle) in central desert and visiting (oasis) Kharanegh, old village with an ancient caravansary. Overnight: camp (400 Km).

Day 5: Visiting Zoroastrian's holly fire temple which is located on the mountain, moving to Yazd, city of wind towers. Visit water museum, Jomeh mosque, towers of the silence, which were the places for leaving the bodies to be eaten by the vultures instate of burying in former times, another fire temple, and watching the city from top of an old tower and walking in old parts of the city. Overnight: hotel (70 Km).

Day 6: Moving to Shiraz via Abarkooh city visiting 4000 year old cypress tree, Passargad complex (tomb of Cyrus the great) and persepolise. Overnight: hotel (425 km).

Day 7: Visiting Shiraz, a very beautiful and holly shrine, old castle, tomb of Hafez and sadi two very well known poets, old bazaar selling nomads women dresses, and an old blue and beautiful madraseh (religious school). Overnight: hotel.

Day 8: Moving to Yasouj on the way visiting ancient Sasanianid city 200 AD made up of stones and a nomadic city, Nourabad. Overnight: hotel (230 Km).

Day 9: Moving to Esfahan via Semirom and Shahreza. Overnight: hotel (300 Km).

Days 10 & 11: Visiting Esfahan. Overnight: hotel.

Day 12: Moving to desert on the way visiting Abyaneh Village with the red houses and people with the traditional dresses and old houses in Kashan and visiting Safavid Caravansary in desert. Overnight: camp in central desert (300 Km).

Day 13: Explore the desert, hills with different colors, drive on solid and white salt lake, walking on sand dunes and visiting two more different shape Caravansaries and water reservoir. Overnight: camp in Caravansary (150 Km).

Day 14: Moving toward Tehran, afternoon visiting Tehran. Overnight: hotel (100 Km).

Day 15: Transferring to IKA and leaving Iran early morning.

Note: All facilities and equipments for desert trips for individual and groups are available.
