Disembark for an excursion to the Three Little Gorges where the river guide will talk about historic sites and the mysterious hanging coffins of the ancient Ba people. Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Enter Wuhan. Our guide will meet you at Wuhan airport. Visit the Yellow Crane Tower and the Guiyuan Buddhist Temple (Temple of Original Purity). Your memorable Yangtze River tour begins at 19:00 as you board the deluxe German-made Regal China (5 Star) cruise ship. Includes: (D)
Day 2: Sailing through the Jianghan Plain. After Breakfast at 8:00, you will have a Safety, Orientation and River Briefing. You will learn the geography and river lore of China. A presentation on Chinese Traditional Medical Therapies introduces you to the traditional Chinese medicine. After lunch, Chinese cultural programs including introductions to Chinese Dough Sculpture and Chinese Kites will be held. Captain's Welcome Party will begin at 18:30 on the sun deck. Day 3: Entering the Three Gorges/Sandouping. This morning we will enter the Xiling Gorge passage. Around 8:30, we'll pass the Gezhouba Dam Ship Lock. The passage takes about one hour and the river guide will talk about the lock. At about 11:00, we'll dock at Sandouping for an excursion to the new and still under construction, Three Gorges Dam. Day 4: Wushan (Three Little Gorges). This morning, after breakfast we'll disembark for an excursion to the Three Little Gorges. The trip features a fantastic natural backdrop and a wonderful boat ride along the crystal stream. The motorized sampan allows you to experience a speedy adventure. Get back to the ship and have lunch. Around 15:30 we'll enter the last but grandest gorge- the Qutang Gorge. The river guide will talk about historic sites like Ancient Plank Road, Mengliang Stairway and the mysterious hanging coffins of the ancient Ba people. Includes: (B, L, D)
Day 5: Wanxian. Disembark this morning for an excursion to Wanxian, an ancient town on the riverbank. A bus tour takes you around the town with minimal walking. A local acrobatic performance is included. Back on board at noon. Continue the cruise in the afternoon. Chinese culture programs will be offered. An evening Farewell Party invites you to perform dancing or musical instruments with cruise staff. Includes: (B, L, D)
Day 6: Chongqing/Exit. After breakfast, relax and pack your bags with leisure. Complete check-out procedures before lunch and disembark afterwards. The estimated arrival in Chongqing is around 13:00. Our tour guide will meet you on board and later see you off. Includes: (B, L)
