Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arusha – Machame Gate (1800m asl) – Machame Camp. Pick up in the morning from your Hotel in Arusha and drive to Machame gate. The drive takes about 2 hours to the Machame gate starting point. After registrations and briefing, hike through rain forest to Machame camp. 3000m above sea level. 5 hours - 10 kilometers hike. Dinner and overnight; Machame Campsite.

Day 2: Machame Camp – Shira Camp. Early, across a valley and a stream and then climb up a steep ridge for about 3-5 hours. The path then drops into a gorge before you climb more gently onto the moorland of the Shira Plateau, one of the most fascinating areas of the Mountain (3,840m asl). Dinner and overnight; Shira campsite.

Day 3: Shira Camp – Great Barranco Valley Camp. Morning after breakfast, hike up to Lava Tower (Wedge Buttress) at 4600m above Sea level. The trails descend gradually to Barranco Camp at 3950m asl. The hike takes about 5 to 7 hours - 10km. Beautiful views of the Barranco wall from the camp. Also called ‘the breakfast wall’ as you’ll have to climb it right after breakfast on the following day. Dinner and Overnight; Barranco Campsite.

Day 4: Great Barranco Valley Camp – Barafu Camp. Start after breakfast by conquering the Barranco Wall, so called the ‘breakfast wall’. The climb to the top of this wall takes about one and one half hour. A good warm up for the rest of the days’ hike to Karanga Valley and on to Barafu Camp at 4600m asl. The hike takes about 7 hours - 8km. Dinner and Overnight; Barafu Campsite.

Day 5: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp. Start for the last leg to Uhuru peak by 12:15am – After 5 - 6 hours of a steady climb on heavy scree you’ll arrive at Stella Point on the rim of the Kibo Crater. A magnificent sunrise will welcome you to enjoy the beauty of the snows of The Kilimanjaro. After one and one half hour hike on the Southern rim of the Crater you’ll reach Uhuru Peak - The Highest Point in Africa at 5896m above sea level. 5 km to Uhuru Peak – 6 to 7 hours. You’ve made it to the ‘Roof of Africa’! Cheers! Moments will be spent here to take some memorable photos, admire the beautiful views of the Kibo Crater and the glacier fields. A scintillating experience... never have you felt like this before! Retrace the route down to Barafu Camp for brunch. Descend to Mweka Camp. 12km – 5 to 7 hours. Dinner and overnight; Mweka Campsite. Alt 3100m.

Day 6: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate - Arusha. Breakfast, descend leisurely to Mweka gate. 10km hike about 4 hours. After Certificate Awards and photos our transfer vehicle will drive you back to Arusha. Dinner and overnight; hotel of your choice. Not included in the price.

Camping during the climb: We provide all camping gears including specious all weather tents. We recommend that you bring your own climbing gears as listed below:

- Warm sleeping bag (- 10’C)
- Trekking boots (used and comfortable)
- A warm jacket
- Thermo long underwear
- Balaclava hat
- Several pairs of warm socks
- Windbreaker jacket
- Rain gear, Getas, Light camera, Sunglasses and sun creams
- Warm gloves, a walking stick and some medicines

Health Care: You need to bring your own Medical care kit. In that will be all-important antibiotics, malaria tabs, sunburn cream, water purification tabs, diamox, (Aspirins will do for mild headaches). On an occasion of Acute Mountain Sickness it is obligatory to climb down. Please be advised to consult your Doctor before the climb.

Supporting staff: One cook will be on the trek with you. He takes care of all camp chores. You’re free to give a helping hand. Will provide 3 meals per day. Vegetarian or not. Most lunches are picnic as you’ll be on the trail.

We will provide 1 Guide and 2 assistant guide for 4 climbers. Our Guides are licensed and have received special training from Mt. Kilimanjaro National Park. Supporting porters will be provided according to the luggage. Recommended weight for your backpacks to be carried up the mountain is 15kg. Kindly allow 5kg for your day packs including Cameras.

Airfare is not included in the tour price.

Price: 1 Person – US$ 1850 – Total trekking costs. 2 Persons - US$ 3000 – Total trekking costs.

Price Includes:
- All Park entry fees, camping fees, Rescue fees
- 3 meals a day
- 1 guide, 2 assistant guide, 1 Cook and porters fees
- Transport, including fuel from Arusha town to and from the park
- 1 bottled drinking water a day or purified from the Mt. Springs (Kindly bring water purification tablets of your choice)

Price Excludes:
- Items of personal nature
- Flights (domestic/international)
- Accommodation in Arusha before and after trek
- Soft drinks
- Tips to the assisting staff (highly recommended – customary the guide gets $ 20 a day, the cook gets $ 15 a day and the each porters gets $ 8 a day)
- Personal travel insurances, visas and transit visas
