This Tuscan tour focuses on the great wine estates in Chianti, Montalcino & Bolgheri.
This tour starts with a comprehensive tour of the Bolgheri wine region taking in the leading vineyards. We have a rare opportunity to visit Tenuta San Guido where world renowned 'Sassicaia' is made.
The second part of the tour visits Chianti and we stay in the Tuscan wine estate of Borgo San Felice in their Relais & Chateaux hotel. Over the days we will see how Chianti has been transformed.
Jane Hunt MW will host a tasting of a range of top estates such as Castello di Ama and Brolio. We continue with our 'super star' visits followed by Fontodi who joins us for lunch. The evening is spent in Siena where you are welcome to join the team for dinner.
You will also visit Isole & Olena and lunch at the magnificent premises of Castello di Volpaia. Our final dinner will be at Felsina di Berardegena.
On the last day we visit the leading estate in Chianti Rufina, and indeed one of the top Tuscan estates, Selvapiana. The Wine Guide for this trip is Master of Wine Jane Hunt.
Itinerary-
Day 1 - Meet at Excelsior, Florence 09.00 or Pisa airport at 10.30. Lunch visit. 5* hotel near Bolgheri.
Day 2- Visits and lunch.
Day 3 - Montalcino visits and lunch. Dinner. 48 hotel in Chianti.
Day 4 - Chianti Classico visits and lunch.
Day 5 - Chianti Classico visits. Lunch & Dinner.
Day 6 - Chianti Ruffina visit and lunch. Drop off at Pisa airport for flight to the UK departing at 18.25.
