Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to Istanbul. Arrival to Istanbul Airport and meet for transfer to your hotel. Rest of day at leisure as per arrival time. Overnight in Istanbul. (Note: If coming from Greece Islands this tour can be done in reverse order)
Day 2: Istanbul Sightseeing Tour. After breakfast at the hotel meet with guide to depart on a full day tour to explore some of the most important sights in Istanbul. Visit the Blue Mosque, St Sophia, Hippodrome & Obelisk, Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace (excluding extra entrances to Harem & Treasury rooms). Evening then at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul
Day 3: Smyrna/Pergamum. Breakfast and check out before transfer on to Istanbul Airport for morning flight to Izmir. On arrival meet with the guide to depart on the drive through Izmir (Smyrna) City Centre with a stop at the Kadifekale (translated as Velvet Castle) for panoramic views over the bay and city and a visit to St Polycarp Church. We then depart to Bergama and the ruins of Pergamum previously a renowned as the cultural and political center used by the Romans as an administrative center for the province of Asia. Here we will visit the ruins of the Acropol and the Asclepion with its theatre. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Bergama (Smyrna-Revelation: 2:8-11 Pergamun-Revelation: 2:12-17)
Day 4: Thyatira/Sardes/Philadelphia. After breakfast and check out depart to visit the ruins of Thyatira which was founded by the Lydians, then Sardes which was the wealthy capital of the Lydian Empire and also Philadelphia which was very important for the spreading of thought patterns and activities of the Hellenistic civilization and Christian faith. Our day will end on arrival to Pamukkale and check-in with opportunity to take a thermal bath. (Thyatira-Revelation: 2:18-29 Sardes-Revelation: 3:1-6 Philadelphia-Revelation: 3:7-13)
Day 5: Pamukkale/Aphrodisias/Laodicea. This morning, after breakfast, we start the day with a visit to the natural formation of the travertine that are found in Pamukkale (literally translated as "Cotton Castle") along with the ruins of Hierapolis. We then move on to visit the magnificent ruins of Aphrodisias, one of the important archaeological sites of the Greek and Roman periods in Turkey, along with the remains of Laodicea which was noted in Revelations as the "City of Compromise". We end the day with arrival to Kusadasi (or Selcuk). Overnight in Kusadasi (or Selcuk) (Laodicea-Revelation: 3:14-22)
Day 6: Ephesus/House of Virgin Mary. Breakfast at the hotel and then depart on a full day tour to visit the remains of Artemis Temple, one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. Then on to visit Ephesus Ancient City, the best preserved Greco-Roman city in the world. Here you will explore the Agora, Odeon, Curetes Street, public toilets, Celsius Library, Roman baths, Grand Theatre, Marble Street. After a lunch break depart for the House of Virgin Mary and visit the chapel where she is said to have spent her last days. At end of touring, transfer on to Izmir Airport for return flight to Istanbul, on arrival check in to hotel, evening at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul (Ephesus-Revelation: 1:11:2:1-7 Ephesus-Acts 18:19-28:19)
Day 7: Departure. Breakfast at hotel, check out and as per your flight departure time, transfer on to Istanbul Airport.
