For young people (20-30 year olds) who want an introduction to African wildlife and culture, but who also want an active holiday. Using our 4WD vehicles, you’ll visit premiere parks such as the Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater. Explore with others like you—it’s the ultimate graduation present.
Your Itinerary Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. We’ll pick you up and take you to the L’Oasis Lodge. Overnight here. Day 2: Have breakfast, then drive to Longido, where Maasai live in the dry bush at the foot of Longido Mountain. Take a cultural tour and enjoy a traditional African lunch. In the afternoon, take a hike through Maasai country. Dinner and overnight at your Longido Camp. (B) (L) (D) Day 3: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater. Check in at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge and have lunch, then take an afternoon game drive in the crater. This spectacular World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve is home to a wide range of animals and birds including wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, lions, hyenas, elephants, warthogs and the rare black rhinoceros, just to name a few. Return to the lodge for dinner. Overnight here. (B) (L) (D) Day 4: Have breakfast, then spend the day exploring Ngorongoro Crater with picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge. (B) (L) (D) Day 5: Enjoy breakfast, then drive through the Serengeti Plains to Seronera, heart of the Serengeti. Have lunch at the Serengeti Visitors Center, then continue on to Kijereshi Tented Camp in the Western Serengeti. Dinner and overnight here. (B) (L) (D) Day 6: Have breakfast, then spend the morning exploring the Serengeti. Enjoy a picnic lunch, then more game viewing in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Kijereshi Tented Camp. (B) (L) (D) Day 7: Enjoy breakfast, then drive to Seronera. Have lunch at the Seronera Wildlife Lodge, while meeting with an established wildlife researcher. Spend the afternoon with your researcher on a game drive in Seronera, where the plains meet the woodlands many species of mammals and birds live. Here, you can see lions, leopards, elephants, topi, buffalo, hyena and baboons, just to name a few. Overnight Seronera Wildlife Lodge. (B) (L) (D) Day 8: Have breakfast, then drive back through the Serengeti Plains and the Ngorongoro Highlands to the fertile farmlands of Karatu. Here, you’ll have lunch and visit a local coffee farm. Continue on to Lake Eyasi, a shimmering silver lake, seldom visited by tourists. Here, you’ll camp near the shores of the lake. Dinner and overnight here. (B) (L) (D) Day 9: Have breakfast, then spend the day on a cultural tour with the Hadzabe people, hunter/gatherers who still follow their ancient traditional ways. Enjoy a picnic lunch and an afternoon hike. Dinner and overnight at your Lake Eyasi camp. (B) (L) (D) Day 10: Have breakfast, then drive to Lake Manyara. Enjoy lunch at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge, then spend the afternoon hiking or biking through the Eastern Rift Valley Escarpment. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. (B) (L) (D) Day 11: Have breakfast, then take a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Wedged between the soda lake and the Eastern Rift Valley Escarpment, this small park supports many mammals and birds including lions, elephants, baboons, flamingos, hippos and pelicans. Enjoy a picnic lunch, then drive back to Arusha. Do some shopping or relaxing, then have an early dinner. In the evening, we’ll transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home.
