Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. We’ll pick you up and transfer you to the L’Oasis Lodge in Arusha. Overnight here. Day 2: Enjoy breakfast, then drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its namesake river, dense concentrations of elephants and ancient baobab trees. Check into the Tarangire Safari Lodge, a tented camp overlooking the Tarangire River valley. Enjoy lunch and then an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight here. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 3: Take an early morning game drive then return to Tarangire Safari Lodge for breakfast. Leave for Ngorongoro Crater. Check in at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge and have lunch, then take an afternoon game drive in the crater. This spectacular World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve is home to a wide range of animals and birds including wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, lions, hyenas, elephants, warthogs and the rare black rhinoceros, just to name a few. Return to the lodge for dinner. Overnight here. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 4: Have breakfast, then spend the day exploring Ngorongoro Crater with picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 5: After breakfast, leave the Ngorongoro Highlands for the Serengeti. After passing through the Serengeti Plains, you’ll continue on to Migration camp in the northeastern Serengeti. Have lunch at this beautiful tented camp along the Grumeti River. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, then return to camp for dinner and overnight. Morning and afternoon nature walks are available here for a small fee. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 6: Enjoy a full day exploring the northern Serengeti. There’s always a variety of wildlife here, and the wildebeest migration may be coming back from Kenya at this time, making for excellent game viewing. All meals included. Overnight at Migration Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 7: After breakfast, make your way to Seronera, heart of the Serengeti. Have lunch at the Serengeti Serena, then enjoy an afternoon of relaxation, or take a game drive. The small rivers in this area support hippos, lions, elephants, giraffes, topi and many other animals. Dinner and overnight at the Serengeti Serena Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 8: Enjoy a full day in the Serengeti. All meals included. Overnight Serengeti Serena Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 9: Have breakfast, then drive back through the Serengeti to Olduvai Gorge, where Louis and Mary Leakey made many important anthropological discoveries. Continue on the Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater rim. Drive to the Lake Manyara Serena. Dinner and overnight here. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 10: Have breakfast, then spend the morning in Lake Manyara National Park, home to elephants, lions, baboons and many water birds, just to name a few. Return to the lodge for lunch then enjoy a free afternoon by the pool, or opt for a cultural tour in the bustling town of Mto Wa Mbu. Dinner and overnight here. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 11: Take an early morning hike in the Eastern Rift Valley Escarpment, then return to the lodge for lunch. Pack your bags and drive to Arusha, where you can do some last-minute shopping then enjoy an early dinner. Then, drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home.
