This trip takes you to the beautiful area of Arkhangai province, which locates along the northern part of Khangai mountain range. Mongolian nomadic lifestyle is a combination of Nomadic pastorals and civilization. Mongolians keep their nomadic lifestyle for centuries and still move all year around finding the fertile pasture for the livestock. So it is obviously interesting to see how they tend to their herds of livestock in Mongolian extreme climate, how they produce dairy products, which are main part of Mongolians' food and how they still use the Ger as their favorite dwelling.

Beforing starting this trip you should know some interesting facts about the places you are going to visit. Karakorum city was established in IV-IX century and in 1220 great Genghis Khan declared it as a capital city of his Empire. Since that time many other Mongolian Khans considered and used Karakorum as a capital of their Empire. Today here left many interesting sites like turtle shaped rock, big stupas and ruins of the city.

Erdenezuu (Hundred Treasures) was the first Buddhist monastery, established in 1586 on the initiative of Abtai Sain Khan at Karakorum. The monastery has rectangular shaped perimeter wall, 420 meters long and with wide sides, 108 stupas and over 10 temples. Today Erdenezuu monastery still retains much of its former glory and remains most religious objects.

Enormous Taihar chuluu is a steep-sided pinnacle of granite, that is 25 m high, almost impossible to climb. It is weird rock formation that rising abruptly from the flat grassland of the Tamir river.

Khorgo uul is a dead volcano, which was active 8000 years ago. The volcano is in 2240 meters of altitude and lies east of the Terhiin Tsagaan Lake. One of the most interesting sights of the Khorgo is the Basalt-Ger, which lies on the south side and the height of some stone Gers is up to 1.7 m.
