Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Sardegna! Our journey starts from Cagliari, Karalis for the Phoenicians the Capital City of the island which graciously overlooks the Mediterranean sea. After the check-in at your Hotel. After dinner we shall take you around the City streets for an incredible night, (short) tour . Dinner and accommodation in Hotel. Includes: (D)

Day 2 - After breakfast we shall leave Cagliari along the west coast towards Nora, this is the most ancient town of the island founded by the Phoenicians, (VI century b.c.), later conquered by the Punic and then under the Roman Empire. We shall visit the Temple, the Theatre and the baths which overlooks the crystal clear water of the Golfo degli Angeli (Gulf of Angels). Then we shall reach Chia, a famous turistic beach with its characteristic sand dunes and special sea colours. Dinner and accommodation in Hotel. Includes: (B) (D)

Day 3 - After breakfast we shall drive along the panoramic road following the coast line until the ancient Phoenician colony of Sulcis; here we shall visit the necropolis and the sanctuary "tophet" where they used to bury the children. Then we shall go to the island of Sant'Antioco, it is still connected to the main island by an original visible roman bridge. Dinner and accommodation in Hotel. Includes: (B) (D)

Day 4 - After breakfast we shall go up the west coast until the Phoenician town of Tharros, from which the City of Oristano originated in the VIII century BC, it was a very busy town and an imprtant centre of commercial and cultural activities. Brief visit at Santa Giusta to admire the Romanic Cathedral. Arrival at Oristano, dinner and accommodation in Hotel. Includes: (B) (D)

Day 5 - After breakfast we shall leave directed to the territory of Trexenta, with a strong agricultural vocation. Arrive at Barumini where we shall visit the most important archaeological site of the Mediterranean: the Nuragic Royal castle"Su Nuraxi". Brief excursion at the famous Giara di Gesturi, a naturalistic area where we find an autochthonous breed of small size horses. In the evening we shall have a typical meal at the restaurant "Severino" where you can taste the most exquisite dishes of the Sardinian cuisine and the celebrated DOC wines of the house. Accommodation in Hotel. Includes: (B) (D)

Day 6 - After breakfast we shall leave towards Cagliari (Karalis, is the original name given by the Phoenicians). Visit to the city most important monuments and remains: Anfiteatro romano (II century BC.), the Archaeological Museum where are kept the best manufacts of the Nuragic times (1500 years BC) and of the punic/phoenician times, the old town, dominated by the Cathedral XIII century BC and the Pisan towers, from the top of the old city, Castello, you can have a global sight of the Golfo degli Angeli and the 8 km long beach with its fine withe sand Poetto. Brief visit to the Basilica di Bonaria, the biggest and most elegant church of Cagliari, famous for the misterious legend of its foundation. Possibility of doing free shopping in the City Centre. Dinner and accommodation in Hotel. Includes: (B) (D)

Day 7 - Breakfast in Hotel. End of the tour, "assibiri" traditional way to say goodbye in the special local language. Includes: (B)
