After leaving Alice Springs we visit the spectacular West MacDonnell Ranges and then along the Mereenie Loop Road to Kings Canyon. We then continue to Uluru (Ayers Rock), the largest Monolith on Earth. We visit the nearby Olgas and then through desert like country and huge Cattle Stations we make our way to the Stuart Highway. We now head south to the worlds largest Opal Field. Here in Coober Pedy we stay overnight at an Underground Motel that previously was a huge Opal Mine. We now leave the Highway again and along Gravel Roads travel through the world’s largest cattle ranch to William Creek. Here we join the Oodnadatta Track, visit unique Mound Springs, Lake Eyre South and historic Railway Sidings (along the Old Ghan) and then visit the Flinders Ranges National Park.
Next through rural South Australia to the Clare Valley and the Barossa Valley, Australia’s premier Wine Regions. Now over the Border into Victoria and to the Grampians National Park. We then head towards the coast at Warrnambool to join the Great Ocean Road. This spectacular coastal road also takes us along the Ship Wreck Coast with the Twelfe Appostles, Loch Ard Gorge and many other places with fantastic vistas.
After we leave the Great Ocean Road we make our way north into the Golden Triangle and stop at historic Ballarat. After a visit to Sovereign Hill and the Gold Museum we join the Freeway into Melbourne.
