The tour includes visiting such lost towns as Afrosiab, Varakhsha, Paykend and ruins of ancient fortresses Kizilkala, Toprakkala, Ayazkala were centers of powerful states in the beginning of our age.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Tashkent
You arrive at the Tashkent airport. We meet you and transfer to the hotel in the center of Tashkent. After lunch you enjoy a walk along the favorite place of rest of local people - square of Amir Timur and the Broadway street, where you can order your portrait from the artists sat right on the street.
Also you will have a chance buy some new pictures from artists or drink coffee in the open- air cafes. You will enjoy walking in the cool, even the summer time, square with fountains and the Monument of Tamerlan in the center. Overnight. Included: (B).
Day 2: Tashkent – Khiva
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport at 9:00 and flight to Khiva (1.5 h). We drive to the hotel situated inside the ancient part of the city. At 11:00 we have city tour inside Ichan Kala Fortress: Kunya Ark (17-19 cc.), Juma mosque (18 c.) with 218 carved wooden pillars, Tash Khauli Palace (19 c.), mausoleum of Pakhlavan Makhmud - the wrestler and the poet (19 c.). Lunch at 13:00. Continuation of the City tour: Kalta Minor minaret - short minaret (19 c.), the tallest minaret in Khiva - Islam Khodja (1908), Harem of the Khan, madrassah Shergazi Khan (18 c.), Ali Kulikhan ensemble (17- 19 cc.). Dinner at 21:00. Overnight. Included: (B).
Day 3: Khiva – Bukhara
After breakfast at 8:00 we drive to Bukhara. On the way we visit ancient fortresses, the centers of old civilizations: Toprakkala (the clay fortress) - the old capital of Khorezmshaks (3-4 cc.). Kizilkala (the red fortress), excursion in Ayazkala (ice fortress) - the complex of palaces built by young men Ayaz for his love women (6-7 cc.). We have picnic at the shore of Amudarya river. 18:00 we are in Bukhara. Accommodation in the hotel in the heart of the old part of Bukhara. Time for rest after a long trip and for the shower. At 21:00 demonstration of plov (national dish) cooking on the fair-wood. The young girl dancing old bukhara dances. Overnight. Included: (B).
Day 4: Bukhara
Breakfast. At 8:00 we drive to Paykend - the Lost Town in the desert (8-9 cc.), the wealthiest center of Bukhara oasis was destroyed and robbed by Arabs in 9 century. Also we visit Varaksha - the Lost Town, the former capital of Bukhara rulers – bukharkhudats, left by inhabitants in 6 century because sands of the desert start occlude the city. At 13:00 we stop for the lunch in chaykhana in Chor Bakr village. We visit Chor Bakr necropolis, belonged to powerful religious rulers of Bukhara, now it looks like a town of shadows (10-16 cc.). We spend time visiting the colorful orient bazaar. Dinner at 21:00. Overnight. Included: (B).
Day 5: Bukhara – Samarkand
Breaksfast. At 9:00 we start a city tour in Bukhara with Lyabi Khauz ensemble- Khonako and Madrassah Nodir Divan Begi (16 c.), Madrassah Kukeldash (15 c.); trade domes (16 c.): Toki Saraffon, Toki Telpak Furushon, Toki Zargaron; Tim of Abdullakhan - close bazaar of expensive silk textiles; Madrassah of Ulugbek - the ruler and great scientist - Galileo of the East (15 c.); Madrassah of Abdulazizkhan (17 c.); At 12:00 we have the open-air lunch at the shore of the ancient pond. At 13:00 Continuation of the city tour: Poi Kalon ensemble- mosque Kalon (16 c.), minaret (12 c.), Madrassah Mir-i-Arab (16 c.); Samanid's Mausoleum (9-10 cc.) - the pearl of the Central Asian architecture. At 16:00 we leave Bukhara for Samarkand. At 20:00 we accommodate at the hotel in the center of Samarkand. At 21:00 dinner in the national restaurant. Overnight. Included: (B).
Day 6: Samarkand – Tashkent
After having a breakfast at 9:00 we start city tour in Samarkand with Bibi Khanum Mosque- Tamerlan's wife (15 c), Shakhi Zinda Necropolis - the burring places of Tamerlan's relatives (12-16 cc.), the mystic Gur Emir Mausoleum (Alive King) with the tomb of Tamerlan, surrounded with the legends (14-15 cc.). Lunch at 12:00. Continuation of the city tour in Samarkand: Registan square (15-17 cc.), Ulugbek observatory (15 c.). Visiting the ruins of Afrosiab - the former capital of ancient Samarkand, existed earlier two thousand and half years ago. The free time. We transfer to Tashkent at 18:00. Dinner in the way. AT 20:00 we accommodate in the hotel in Tashkent. Overnight. Included: (B).
Day 7: Tashkent
After breakfast at 9:00 we have time to visit Chorsu - the biggest Tashkent market before departure flight. After lunch at 12:00 we transfer to the airport. End of the trip and departure Tashkent.
