We cross it twice in a motorboat and walk in the high wooded hills that form its shores. On the way we visit an Altai village, take in charming views, fish for umber, and pick berries, which are abundant there.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Flight to Barnaul. Bus transfer to the Laguna tourist base on the Shore of Teletsky Lake. Included: (B)
Day 2: Day outings to interesting picturesque places. Base. Included: (B)
Day 3: Cross the lake to its southernmost tip, Kyrsai bay, in a motor boat. Camp. Included: (B), (L), (D)
Day 4: Drive 60km in a 4WD vehicle along the Chulyshman valley, visiting different places of interest. Camp. Included: (B), (L), (D)
Day 5: Day outing through the wild Chulcha gorge to Chulcha waterfall 160m high. Return to camp. Included: (B), (L), (D)
Day 6: Drive 30km in a truck to the confluence of the Chebdar and Bashkhaus rivers. Walk over a minor pass. Camp. Included: (B), (L), (D)
Day 7: Rest, fishing for umber, picking berries. Camp. Included: (B), (L), (D)
Day 8: Walk up the Chaga valley. Camp at 1600m. Included: (B), (L), (D)
Day 9: Walk to Verkhny Kumurtuk camp site through forests, over alpine meadows. Camp at 1700m. Included: (B), (L), (D)
Day 10: Walk over tundra, ascent of Biler Mountain (2300m), cross Tanys pass (2044m), descent to the Chulyshman valley. Camp at 1250m. Included: (B), (L), (D)
Day 11: Going down the Chulyshman valley with a breathtaking sight of Teletskoye lake. Camp at tourist base. Included: (B)
Day 12: Sailing back to the Laguna base in a motor boat. Accommodation at the base: double rooms with private facilities. Included: (B)
Day 13: Sailing back to the Laguna base in a motor boat. Accommodation at the base: double rooms with private facilities. Included: (B)
Day 14: Rest. 3hr rafting down the Biya River. Base. Included: (B)
Day 15: Bus transfer to Barnaul and flight to Moscow. Included: (B)
