Some keen ski-tourists are ready to fly 10000 km to find a fantastic setting for their skiing, even if it is just for a week. This program is for them. Three volcanoes not far (by Kamchatka standards) from Petropavlovsk are climbed and skied down.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Elizovo airport. Bus transfer to PPK. Hotel accommodation (DBL, B&B). Excursion around the town. Included: (B).
Day 2: Bus drive to the road point nearest to Avacha Refuge. Skiing to the Refuge (20km, 5hr). Accommodation in a wooden hut with a stove for heating. Included: (B).
Day 3: Ascent of Avachinsky volcano (2751m, 10hr). Hut. Included: (B), (L), (D).
Day 4: Ascent of Koryaksky volcano (3456m). Optional camping on the volcano. Camp Hut. Included: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Ascent of Koryaksky volcano (3456m). Optional camping on the volcano. Camp Hut. Included: (B), (L), (D).
Day 6: Skiing back to the road. Bus transfer to PPK. Hotel. Included: (B).
Day 7: Bus drive to Verkhny-Paratunsky springs. Skiing over Vilyuchinsky pass with descent to Rodnikovy thermal springs. Accommodation at base. Hut. Bathing in the hot spring. Included: (B).
Day 8: Ascent of Vilyuchinsky volcano (2176m). Hut. Included: (B), (L), (D).
Day 9: Skiing back to Verkhny-Paratunsky springs. Bus transfer to PPK. Hotel. Included: (B).
Day 10: Bus transfer to Elizovo Airport. Flight to Moscow. Included: (B).
