Mongolia has a wonderful composition of ethnics like Khalkha Mongols, Darkhad, Buriyat, Kazakh, Khoton, Uzemchin, Torguud, Bayad, Tsaatan and many more. Among these dozen of slightly different traditions The Tsaatan or the Reindeer riders are the most interesting and the most mysterious people. Now there are about only 400 Tsaatan people in Mongolia and they inhabit the remotest but amazing beautiful mountain taigas. The Tsaatan worship The Eternal Blue Sky Father. The Tsaatan love their lifestyle of "breeding reindeer and sleeping in huts" the most and never gave up for the several attempts of the Communists of "making the Tsaatan living in comfortable homes and live a better life". Taking part in this trip you will travel to the most picturesque place of Mongolia the "Darkhad Depression" and meet the mystical Tsaatan people and reveal their secrets of life on your own.
The Tsaatan is a small ethnic group of Mongolia. They are Shamanists and live in the high mountain taigas in Huvsgul. Their dwelling is hut and they worship the Eternal Sky as shamainsts. They have a completely different lifestyle of breeding reindeers and living only from reindeer profit and very famous for their mysterious shamainst deeds and traditions. You will ride horses to go through the dense forests of the taiga.
During the trip you will also meet another interesting ethnic group, the Darkhad. The Darkhad are famous for their good shamans and hard works. The other parts of Mongolia don't understand Darkhad dialect as it's very melodic. Like other Mongolian ethnics the Darkhad are very friendly and you will enjoy their hospitality in their small wooden houses. The Darkhad Depression is famous for its spectacular landscape, unique cultures and traditions of ethnic minorities and excellent wilderness. The fascinating snowcapped mountains of Khoridol Saridag and Sayan Mountain Ranges, many pure and untouched mountain rivers and lakes make this region incomparable to anywhere else in the world.
