Southern Mongolia - 5 days
A chance for you to try riding the 2 humped Bactrian camel in amongst the huge sand dunes of Southern Mongolia. Meet the camel herdsmen and their families and then go on to see the land of the dinosaurs, with relics from 60 million years ago.
Central Mongolia - 4 days
Visit the huge Buddhist Erdenezuu monastery and the symbolic ruins of the ancient capital Karkorum, near a great extinct volcano area. Visit with a horseman's nomadic family and sample their home made dairy products.
Northern Mongolia - 4 days
Huvsgul Lake is one of the biggest freshwater lakes in Asia and is a great place for fishing and boating on the water and hiking through the beautiful scenery on land. Plus here you will meet a reindeer herdsman nomad family and experience their way of life.
Day 1- arrive in Ulaanbaatar, city tour
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. You'll be greeted at the airport and escorted to your hotel. After lunch take a half-day city tour including a visit to the dinosaur skeletons at the Natural History Museum and an excursion to the Zaisan Hill War Memorial to get your bearings with a panoramic view of the whole city. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 2- tour to Middle Gobi
After breakfast, drive to Middle Gobi Province. On the way, visit Baga Gazriin Chuluu where we will visit a spring with water that is supposed to be good for the eyes. Feel free to sample it! Then visit ruins of a temple from the 18 th century and a crystal-lined cave. Lunchboxes from the camp. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp. Full board.
Day 3 - tour to South Gobi
Breakfast at the camp; continue driving towards the South Gobi. Arrive at Gobi tourist camp in the South Gobi in the evening. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp. Full board.
Day 4 - visit Eagle Valley and drive Khongor Sand Dune
Up early morning, we visit Yol Am ( Eagle Valley ) as picturesque place, there is ice even in summer and surrounded by cheer rocky walls, forming incredible canyons. Visit Gobi museum. Then you will be driven to Khongor Sand Dune. These are Mongolia 's largest sand dunes, reaching a height of 800 meters in some areas. The sand dunes change color with each hour of the day, from yellow to silver to rose-colored at (dawn / sundown). Overnight in tourist camp. Full board.
Day 5 - camel ride trial through Mongolian largest wonderful sand dunes
Today you will be riding on camel to explore the Khongor Sand Dunes. The two-humped Bactrian camels are very comfortable to ride as they walk slowly and gently, and you will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. Our camel man will lead you safely through the sand dunes. The areas are situated in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park that encompasses the "Three Beauties" peaks and the most easterly points of the Altai Mountains. Overnight in tourist camp. Full board.
Day 6 - discover Bayanzag - the land of dinosaurs
After the breakfast we will drive to Ongi Temple. On the way we will visit the legendary “Flaming Cliffs,” where the first nest of dinosaur eggs ever discovered was found in 1922. Then drive to Bayanzag, a site famous for the remains of dinosaur which lived here 70 million years ago. You can walk around where dinosaurs once roamed and see saksaul trees and other classic desert vegetation. Overnight in the tourist camp. Full board.
Day 7 - visit Erdenezuu and Karakorum
Breakfast at the tourist camp, continue driving to Karakorum. Arrive at Karakorum in the afternoon. Visit Erdene-Zuu, the oldest monastery, with 108 stupas, built in 1586. Visit the symbolic ruins of Karakorum, the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. Overnight in tourist camp. Full board.
Day 8 - drive to Horgo extinct volcano and discover horseman's family
Tour to Arkhangai province will be quite exciting with exploration of attractive landscape composition of mountain, forest, grassland and rivers. On the way v isit the family of a horseman. You are free to taste the favorite drink of Mongolians - airag , fermented mare's milk and horse ride trial. Overnight in tourist camp. Full board.
Day 9 - Horgo extinct volcano and Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake
Whole day will have trekking to explore and discover the Horgo extinct volcano crater and Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake - good spot for bird watching and fishing. Overnight in tourist camp. Full board.
Day 10 - drive towards to Huvsgul National park
After breakfast we will drive to Erkhel Lake. It is a one of the Salt Lake in Mongolia. You can see high glasses and some kinds of water birds including dalmtian pelicans, hooded cranes, relict gulls and bar headed geese. Overnight in tents. Full board.
Day 11 - arrive in Huvsgul National Park & visit Tsaatan family
After breakfast we will drive to Huvsgul Lake in Huvsgul Aimag. Huvsgul Lake is the deepest and purest lake in Mongolia. Near Huvsgul lake are found the Tsaatan ethnic people. These enigmatic people herd reindeer not only for their antlers, a lucrative medicinal material, but as well for their milk and meat. If you have always wanted to ride a reindeer here's your chance! Overnight in tourist camp. Full board.
Day 12 - free relaxing, trekking and fishing
Today you have opportunity to trek to the lakeside & mountain for exploring, taking pictures, enjoying wildlife, flora & fauna of Huvsgul lake area. Lunch at the camp. Then you have a great fishing in the lake via motor ship. Dinner is real Mongolian Barbeque. Overnight in tourist camp.
Day 13 - flight to Ulaanbaatar and city tour options
Up early you will be driven back to capital of the Huvsgul province, Murun with your guide for your return flight to Ulaanbaatar. Relax and overnight in the hotel. If you desire you will be taken to souvenir and cashmere shops before attending a performance of national folklore. A farewell dinner in Mongolian Barbeque restaurant and overnight in the hotel.
Day 14 - departure back Mongolia
You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport.
