Terelj National Park is one of the most popular national parks in Mongolia. Terelj is just 60 km from Ulaanbaatar in the east and features stunning Granite Mountains and flowery endless grassy green meadows. This picturesque National Park is a part of Khan Khentii Strictly Protected Area. It is a great place for hiking, trekking, even you can rock climb here at its natural steep granite walls.
Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve is one of the most popular nature reserves of Mongolia. The Nature Reserve is truly the marvelous combination of high mountains, colorful flowers, pretty lakes, rivers and wetland waters with its famous rare species of wild sheep Argali the Big Horns, White crane, White napped crane, Whooper swan etc., You can hike, fish, kayak, trek, ride camels, horses in the Nature Reserve. The Nature Reserve also features the River Kherlen and the pretty lakes of Ayaga and Ikh-Gun.
The Tuul River is one of the longest rivers of the country, flowing from the Khentii Mountain Range. The valley of the river has been called sacred for centuries by the nomads as they truly respect the nature, especially the rivers and the surface water. The beautiful valley in summer is often dotted with traditional Mongolian ger camps and offers picturesque sceneries.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to airport. Rest. Meet your guide and see a Traditional Folk Concert then have Welcome dinner at a restaurant.

Day 2:
Visit the "Gandan" monastery for morning Buddhist ceremony and the Museum of Mongolian National History. Drive to "Terelj" National Park. Visit the Turtle rock. This is a picturesque place of high cliffs eroded in granites of Mesozoic age. Drive to "Chinggis" tourist camp in the Tuul river valley for overnight.

Day 3:
Horse riding tour along the "Tuul river", meet with locals and see their daily lives, interact with them, take water adventures, go trekking or swimming in the Tuul river.

Day 4:
Horse riding tour to the amazing Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve, we cover 35 km on horseback. Picnic lunch at a beautiful place. Camping in beautiful mountains under the starry skies.

Day 5:
We continue our ride covering 40km today through the Great Mongolian Steppes and reach Steppe Nomads tourist camp in the Gun-Galuut by the river Kherlen. On the way, admire the White crane, Whooper swan and the Hooded crane at the Lake Ayaga. Rest, shower and cold beer! Ger camp. (B) (L) (D)
Day 6:
Today we hike to Mt. Baits to view the endangered Argali Wild mountain sheep, the rare White Napped crane and other wild animals like fox, gazelles. In the afternoon we kayak and fish on the river Kherlen.

After breakfast, drive back to UB. Transfer to hotel. Visit the Bogd Khaan's Winter Palace, Zaisan Memorial and do shopping. Hotel.

Transfer to the airport after breakfast or extend your stay with another tour.
