Fairy Meadow / Hunza (10 days 9 nights)
From south to the north on Karakarum Highway you will cross different areas. This is a program for nature lovers, during drive up from Islamabad to Hunza on the way you can view different landscape, people, and lifestyle in Mansera, Besham, Kohistan, Chilas, Gilgit and Hunza. Each area keeps its own identification.
Fairy Meadow (3200 meters) truly is the place of outstanding beauty with breathtaking view of Nanga Parbat, the second highest in Pakistan and the ninth highest in the world.
Fairy meadow is a grassy plateau with the large spring. Good place for camping, hiking and photography. Spectacular view of Rakaposhi and Haramosh mountains.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Arive at Islamabad Airport and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Drive from Islamabad / Chilas (approx. 10 hrs driving). Overnight Chilas.
Day 3: Chilas / Raikot / Fairy meadow. (2 hrs driving and 3 hrs trekking). Overnight camping at fairy meadow.
Day 4: Trekking Excursion to Nanga Parbat base camp (6-7 hrs trekking). Return to Fairy Meadow for your overnight camping.
Day 5: Fairy Meadows / Raikot / Hunza. (3 hrs walking & 5 hrs driving). Overnight Hunza.
Day 6: Hunza / Khunjerab / Passu. (Approx 9 hrs). Overnight Passu.
Day 7: Visiting around Passu village, local food will be serving in a traditional house, afternoon drive to Hunza. (3 hours driving).
Day 8: Morning jeep excursion to Hoper Valley (approx. 03 hrs), on return explore Karimabad village (Bazaar & Baltit Fort). Drive to Gilgit. Overnight Gilgit.09
Day 9: Gilgit / Besham (8-9 hrs driving)
Day 10: Drive to Islamabad stopping en route at Taxila archaeological sites. (6 hrs Driving). Transfer to airport for flight.
