This tour begins in Vancouver or Victoria. Travel up-island through the rugged mountains, past the pristine beaches, and through the rainforest.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Overnight in Tofino
Vancouver to Tofino - You will sail from Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) aboard the BC ferries to Vancouver Island. You will drive north to Qualicum Beach then west to Pacific Rim National Park and Tofino. You travel through ancient rainforests and spectacular mountain passes to Long Beach and the Pacific Ocean.
Day 2: Tofino Exploring
Tofino Exploring - Today is a day of excitement. Early morning Bear Watch tour to watch where the mothers bring their cubs down to forage for food in the quiet inlets of Tofino. The rest of the day for exploration of Tofino and Long Beach and maybe the Wild Side Trail. Free evening.
Day 3: Tofino to Campbell River
Tofino to Campbell River – Early morning checkout, then you can take the optional Whale-Watching tour for Grey Whales before traveling north to Campbell River. We recommend some stops along the way at Long Beach, Cathedral Grove, or Coombs Country Market for some last minute shopping.
Day 4: Campbell River to Knight Inlet Lodge
Campbell River to Knight Inlet Lodge – Today you will take a floatplane trip to Knight Inlet Lodge for one night. This is where you can participate in one or two Grizzly Bear trips.
Day 5: Tour Ends
Today you will travel back by floatplane to Campbell River where you will collect your car and drive south to Nanaimo. Along the way, we recommend stopping in Parksville for a last walk on the beach, some shopping, or a relaxing game of mini-golf. Upon arrival in Nanaimo, board the BC Ferry for an hour ride to Vancouver. Tour ends.
