Tour Highlights: - Nairobi - Lake Nakuru NP - Eldoret - Lake Bunyoni - Kisoro - QE2 National Park - Kampala - Jinja - Kembu Farm - Lake Naivasha - Masia Mara Game park Safari. Tour Itinerary: Your Flatdog adventure tour departs our camp in Nairobi at 8 am on the first day of the trip. We recommend you arrive in Nairobi at least the day before the trip departs. However if you're there with a few days to spare there's lots to see and do around the city. In Nairobi town is the National Museum and markets. Close to the camp are; Karen Blixen's house, Langata Giraffe Centre and Nairobi National Park for a first glimpse of African wildlife. Week 1: Kenya - Uganda. Leaving Nairobi we pass the dramatic landscape of the Rift Valley to the highlands of Kenya. Crossing the border at Malaba we drive through rain forests and tea and sugar plantations to Ugandas capital, Kampala. Crossing the equator we camp on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi. Near here we trek to the famed Mountain Gorillas. Week 2: Uganda. From the city of Kampala we arrive at Jinja on the shores of Lake Victoria. You can spend an action-filled day white water rafting down the Nile, bungee jump, fish on Lake Victoria. Give up a day of your holiday to volunteer for the local community education project. Week 3: Kenya. Returning to Kenya and Nakuru Town, we stay at Kembu a working farm. We spend a day at Lake Nakuru, viewing game in a park famous for its soda lake surrounded by thousands, sometimes millions of pink flamingoes. We move on to camp on the shores of Lake Naivasha where hippos often come to graze in the evenings. Close by is Hell's Gate National Park and Elsamere, once the home of Joy Adamson and Elsa the lion of 'Born Free' fame. We head west to the Masai Mara National Reserve where great game viewing is assured. From here we return to Nairobi with the chance to feast at the renowned Carnivores Game Restaurant.
