Choose from daily easy to moderate hikes-- our tours are designed so that you can choose the route best suited for you. By keeping our groups small we can easily split up between two guides, so that you can enjoy this tour at your pace. Day 1: Secluded Hanging Valley: After transferring to our beautiful four-star mountain retreat we embark on a half day of walking through a wild and romantic nature reserve where numerous treasures are revealed within a trough valley sheared by the Kanderfirn glacier. Learn about the geology and beauty that can only be created by the power of these wondrous masses of ice after transferring to our beautiful four-star mountain retreat we explore the scenic historic Gemmipass frequented by Mark Twain, Lenin and Picasso.
Day 2: Pristine Alpine Lakes: We have two walks to choose from explore that take us to 2 of Switzerland's most beautiful high alpine lakes. The challenging hike to Lake Oeschinensee takes us up close to the looming glaciers we see from our 4-star inn or enjoy an easy walk once frequented by Mark Twain, Lenin and Picasso that takes us to a serene alpine lake where pastures filled with wild flowers brings us to the edge of the ridge that divides the Wallis and Berner-Oberland. Here you enjoy splendid distant views of the Alps highest peaks.
Day 3: Enormous Waterfalls: We walk through one of Switzerland's most beautiful shear-walled valleys. Waterfalls dropping down from an enormous height line our path as we ease our way past the rural Swiss way of life. Within a beautiful nature reserve lined with glaciers and icefalls our journey continues. Then before we cog-train up to a car free resort, we tour the rare spectacle of a twisting violent waterfall within the mountain.
Day 4 & 5: Eiger, Moench & Jungfrau: Walk amongst the mightiest of Swiss Alps, Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau and along the trails that have defined the region's fame. The Eiger trail takes us as close as one can get to the wall of "The North Face". The camera never stops as we enjoy the grandeur of these Alps. We return with plenty of time to visit Wengen, do some shopping or just relax.
Day 6: We transferred to the train station Lauterbrunnen.
