Your Itineray

Day 1: Buffalo Mountain Lodge, Banff

Arrive in Calgary, Alberta and pick up your Hertz rental car. Follow the directions in your personalized Travel journal and experience the remarkable transition from city to mountains as you drive into the Rockies. After checking into the lodge, go for a stroll and enjoy spectacular valley views from the trails on Tunnel Mountain;

Day 2: Buffalo Mountain Lodge, Banff

Immerse yourself in this stunning mountain environment on your first day of hiking at the spectacular Sunshine Meadows. Afterward, explore Banff or visit the quaint shops in the mountain town of Canmore with our handy tips. Tonight savor a tantalizing Canadian Rockies dinner;

Day 3: Pyramid Lake Resort, Jasper

Begin to see the real benefits of an independent vacation. Using your travel journal, you’ll explore through two World Heritage Sites while driving along one of North America's most spectacular highways. Get your camera ready for an encounter with over 100 glaciers and waterfalls on the journey up the Icefields Parkway. Stop at the Columbia Icefields and learn firsthand how the ice and water carved this fantastic landscape on a guided Ice Walk onto the Athabasca Glacier. Continue to Jasper;

Day 4: Pyramid Lake Resort, Jasper

Gain the perspective of the locals and immerse yourself in the mountains on a day with your own private hiking guide. After, you can follow the tips for exploring from your travel journal, or opt for a soothing soak in the nearby natural hot springs. Relish an exquisite dinner and then perhaps a late evening stroll along the lake;

Day 5: Rocky Mountain Escape, Willmore Wilderness Park

After breakfast, you’ll have a scenic drive to Rocky Mountain Escape with plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities. Upon arrival take advantage of the remarkably peaceful surroundings by exploring a forest trail or along the stream bed by Munn Creek. Take pleasure in a delicious home cooked dinner this evening. Nestle into your cozy cabin and doze off to the silence of the surrounding forest;

Day 6: Rocky Mountain Escape, Willmore Wilderness Park

Wake to the cheerful song of the Yellow Rumped Warbler as you begin your day in the pristine setting around the Wilmore Wilderness Area. Today, discover the trails on a spectacular guided hike right from the door of your cabin. Return for a delicious dinner and share stories of your adventures with your new friends at Rocky Mountain Escape. Discover star gazing in a clear evening sky or search for the brilliant Northern Lights;

Day 7: Emerald Lake Lodge, Yoho National Park

Depart Rocky Mountain Escape and begin making your way towards Yoho National Park. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound. Continue on to your final destination at Emerald Lake Lodge. Relax in Emerald Lake's serene beauty as you enjoy a peaceful walk along the lakeshore or a cocktail on the balcony;

Day 8: Emerald Lake Lodge, Yoho National Park

Today is a free day to explore or relax at your leisure. You might take a short drive to world renowned Lake Louise, discover the quaint shops in the village of Field, or explore the many hiking trails leading right from the Lodge. The insightful tips in your travel journal will help ensure that you experience the very best of the area;

Day 9: Emerald Lake Lodge, Yoho National Park

Make the most of your last day in the Rockies on one last day of guided hiking around Lake Louise or Moraine Lake. Return to Emerald Lake and indulge your taste buds in a sumptuous dinner featuring Rocky Mountain inspired cuisine. Relax on your outside deck or stargaze from the outdoor hot tub;

Day 10: Return home

Pull yourself away from the peaceful and natural surroundings of Emerald Lake as you complete the final leg of your Canadian Rockies journey. Make your way back to the Calgary International Airport and return home with a lifetime of remarkable memories from your travel adventure!
