Day 1: Victoria, Vanc. Isle, BC
Arrive at Victoria International Airport, Vanc. Isle, BC. Following the tips and directions in your personalized Travel Journal, drive to your downtown hotel. The meticulously illuminated Legislative Buildings offer a purely magical backdrop for your evening stroll around the Inner Harbour. Day 2: Victoria, Vanc. Isle, BC
On your first local experience of choice, feel salt water spray your face while sailing along the craggy shores of Oak Bay or take in a true Victorian tradition sipping the Fairmont Empress’ own blend of tea while indulging in mini sandwiches, scones and light pastries. During your afternoon stroll, find antique shops, heritage homes and chocolate makers. Day 3: Cowichan Valley, Vanc. Isle, BC

Day 4: Cowichan Valley, Vanc. Isle, BC
The Cowichan Valley’s mild climate and rolling hills allows for perfect farming and grape growing conditions, thus keep your eyes open for road signs indicating wineries, cheese farms and even a cidery. Your local experience of choice, may be joining Mara Jernigan, renowned West Coast chef, on one of her farm tours and/or cooking classes! Day 5: Sooke Harbour House, Vanc. Isle, BC
Your dramatic drive takes you over the Malahat mountain ranges. Catch breathtaking vistas of the Strait of Juan de Fuca with the USA’s Olympic Mountains in the distance. Stop in Goldstream Provincial Park where you can walk through an old-growth temperate rain forest and perhaps enjoy a picnic while surrounded by towering cedars. Arrive in Sooke by the ocean, a world away, and your home for the next few nights. Accommodation: Sooke Harbour House (Deluxe and Premium Hotel option);
Day 6: Sooke Harbour House, Vanc. Isle, BC
How will you spend your day in Sooke? Your Local Experience of Choice, may be joining the Seaweed Lady for an introduction to the Ocean’s Garden, or enjoy a day of paddling or diving in the Sooke basin. Spend an afternoon with Nancy the blacksmith or Norra the glassblower, or meander from studio to studio. Accommodation: Sooke Harbour House (Deluxe and Premium Hotel option);
Day 7: Return to Victoria, then home
Enjoy a last walk around Sooke Harbour House, where a keen eye, will no doubt discover yet another cleverly placed work of art. Perhaps you will finally notice the mermaid mosaic or the “jelly-fish” lights in the gardens. Your drive back to Victoria’s International Airport offers flirtatious glimpses of the ocean.
