Your Itinerary
Day 1: Homeplace Ranch, Priddis, Alberta
Arrive in Calgary, Alberta. Follow the directions in your personalized travel journal and experience the remarkable transition from the city to the rolling ranch lands with the densely treed foothills of the Rocky Mountains. After checking in, go for a stroll and enjoy spectacular valley views along the creek. Tonight you'll get acquainted with your hosts and lodge guests over a delicious dinner topped off with home-baked bread and pastries;
Day 2: Homeplace Ranch, Priddis, Alberta
The day starts with a hearty breakfast, then saddle up for your choice of a half or full day trail ride. Get to know your horse, learn to saddle your mount then hit the trail to enjoy some breathtaking scenery with ranch hands and guests. Stop along the trail for lunch and savor a "Cowboy Cappuccino", a unique ranch experience. When you return to the Lodge, relax in the hot tub or enjoy a game of horseshoes before taking pleasure in an outdoor BBQ dinner. Plenty of delicious cuisine is served and coffee and snacks are always available. However feel free to pop into the kitchen for fresh cinnamon buns or cookies any time of day or night;
Day 3: Homeplace Ranch, Priddis, Alberta
Join the group for another day of adventure, scenery and solitude with your trusty steed. Or you may choose to take part in such activities as fixing the fences, checking on the cows or horses, feeding and grooming, relaxing or taking a fishing rod for a walk along the creek. Tonight meet back at the lodge to share an evening of storytelling, laughs and another tasty dinner;
Day 4: Buffalo Mountain Lodge, Banff
You may choose to join everyone for a final morning ride or relax with some fresh baked cinnamon buns. This afternoon, say good-bye to your horse and the friends you have made at the ranch. Following the driving directions and tips for exploring in your travel journal navigate your way to Banff and the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Check in to the Buffalo Mountain Lodge before heading out to explore the quaint shops, restaurants and sites around Banff;
Day 5: Buffalo Mountain Lodge, Banff
Enjoy a free day for leisurely exploring with our handy tips. Visit the Bow Falls, take a stroll along the tranquil shores of the Bow River, discover the Hoo Doo's or follow our driving directions for a scenic sight-seeing drive through Alberta's best kept secret - Kananaskis Country;
Day 6: Buffalo Mountain Lodge, Banff
Make the most of your last day in the Rockies on a fun activity of choice. Later, explore the area with our handy tips. Indulge your taste buds in a final dinner featuring Rocky Mountain inspired cuisine;
Day 7: Return home
Pull yourself away from Banff as you complete the final leg of your Canadian Rockies journey. Make your way back to the Calgary International Airport and return home with a lifetime of remarkable memories of the friends you made and experiences enjoyed on your travel adventure!
