Day 1: Banff National Park. Welcome to Calgary, Alberta! Follow the easy to follow directions in your personalized travel journal. It's a spectacular change of scenery as you drive toward the towering limestone peaks known as the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Stop in Banff to do last minute shopping, and get into the Christmas spirit before heading out to your remote and luxurious mountain cabin getaway. Day 2: Banff National Park. Tucked away in a valley surrounded by snow-capped peaks, hanging glaciers, and fresh mountain streams, the friendly village of Lake Louise is a nature lover's playground. Today experience the enchantment of the landscape as you romp through the snow on your new mode of transport - snowshoes! (This activity may be traded for any Banff experience of choice). Day 3: Banff National Park. Take advantage of a day to enjoy the holiday festivities in Banff or Lake Louise at your own pace. Your travel journal is filled with "must-do" suggestions such as where to find the trail that will lead you to the natural hot springs, or where to find the best local wine shop in town. Day 4: Yoho National Park. Wake to a glistening winter morning in the Rockies and a day for leisurely exploring along your scenic journey to Emerald Lake. Our trip concierge suggests taking your skates to the ice at Emerald Lake. As you glide across the lake's frozen surface, look closely, if you're lucky, you might spot a fish or two swimming beneath the glassy ice! Day 5: Yoho National Park. Prepare for a thrilling day of exploring on a guided snowmobiling and ice fishing adventure.
