Day 01. Airport to Darjeeling. Arrive Bagdogra or Bhadrapur Airport. Permit formalities. Drive to “Queen of Hills” Darjeeling (2143 m.) through forest and tea plantations. You are likely to see the famous ‘Himalayan Toy Train’ on this drive as it chugs uphill. Check-in Hotel. Evening free.

Day 02. Darjeeling. Early morning drive to Tiger Hill to see sunrise. On the return drive visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Return to Hotel. Breakfast. Darjeeling sightseeing. Visit Mountaineering Institute, Himalayan Zoological Park, Refugee Self Help Center, View Points and nearest Tea Garden. Evening free.

Day 03. Darjeeling to Pemayangtse. Breakfast. Drive to Pemayangtse (2130 m.) via; Melli Check-Post, Jorethang and Legship. Check-in Hotel. Evening free.

Day 04. Pemayangtse to Yuksam. Early morning visit Monastery. It is a premier monastery of Sikkim and belongs to the Nyingmapa sect. Breakfast. Begin your trek via; Darap, Rimbi and Thinling to Yuksam (1780 m.). Here the first Chogyal Phuntshog Namgyal was consecrated. Evening discussion and briefing on the trek. Check-in Trekker’s Hut or Tented Camp. Early Dinner and rest.

Day 05. Yuksam to Tsokha. Breakfast. Pack Lunch will be served. Begin your trek through semi-tropical forests. After 4-5 hrs. of moderate trekking you will reach Bakhim (2745 m.). Further one and half hrs. steep trek reach Tsokha (3030 m.). A small Tibetan settlement with small monastery and holy lake. Evening camp fun. Dinner and rest.

Day 06. Tsokha to Dzongri. Breakfast. Trek to Dzongri (4030 m.) 4-5 hrs. trek, along the Yak grazing area. Awe inspiring view of the Himalayas. One feels over-whelmed and staggered at the towering presence of the snow giants. Juponu (5936 m.) in the east, the Pandim (6691 m.) on the left, while on the right a long line of granite piers run down the ‘Darjeeling Jap’. Camp at Dzongri. Hot Lunch and Dinner shall be served.

Day 07. Dzongri Excursion. Breakfast. Dzongri Excursion. Hot Lunch and Dinner. Evening camp fun. Camp at Dzongri.

Day 08. Dzongri to Thansing. Breakfast. Trek to Thansing (3930 m.) 3-4 hrs. trek. Hot Lunch and Dinner. Evening camp fun. Camp at Thansing.

Day 09. Thansing to Tsokha. Breakfast. Return trek to Tsokha via; Phethang. Hot Lunch and Dinner. Camp at Tsokha. Evening camp fun.

Day 10. Tsokha to Yuksam. Return trek to Yuksam. Hot Lunch and Dinner. Camp at Yuksam.

Day 11. Yuksam to Tashiding. Breakfast. Trek to Tashiding. 4-5 hrs. moderate trekking. Monastery is standing on the top of the conical hill with rare wall paintings. It is founded in 1716 A.D. Hot Lunch and Dinner. Camp at Trekker’s Hut or Forest Lodge. Evening camp fun.

Day 12. Tashiding to Gangtok. Breakfast. Trek to Legship. 2-3 hrs. trek. Coach / Jeep waiting to pick you up. Drive to Gangtok (1600 m.) via; Kewzing, Ravangla, Singtam. 4 -5 hrs. drive. Check-in Hotel. Refresh with hot bath. Evening walk around town.

Day 13. Gangtok. Gangtok, Capital of Sikkim, meaning ‘Hill Top’ was established in 1716 A.D. Interesting sightseeing areas are Enchay Monastery (212 years old) built on a site blessed by Lama Druptab Karpo, a tantric master known for his power of flying, The Directorate of Handicraft center, Research Institute of Tibetology, Flower Show etc. Afternoon visit Rumtek Monastery (24 km.). First built in 1717 A.D. It was rebuilt by H.H.Gyalwa Karmapa of Kagyupa sect, the 16th. Incarnation. Since his death in 1982, the devotees waited for fifteen years to discover the 17th. Incarnate in Tibet. Now, he is in India, but yet to come to his monastery in Sikkim. The style of monastery is traditional, a copy of its Tibetan original. Evening free.

Day 14. Gangtok to Kalimpong. Breakfast. Drive to Kalimpong (1250 m.) 2 hrs. drive and center for shopping of local handicrafts. It offers quiet holidays. Deep valleys with the mighty Himalayas in the background and gently rolling hills are its beauty. Sightseeing and city tour. Evening free.

Day 15. Kalimpong to Airport. Breakfast. Drive to Bagdogra or Bhadrapur Airport. 2 to 4 hrs. drive.
