Day 01. Airport to Darjeeling. Arrive Bagdogra or Bhadrapur Airport. Permit formalities. Drive to “Queen of Hills” Darjeeling through forest and Tea Plantations. You are likely to see the famous Himalayan Toy Train on this drive as it chugs uphill. Check-in Hotel. Evening free.
Day 02. Darjeeling. Early morning drive to Tiger Hill to see sunrise. On return visit Ghoom monastery and Batasia Loop. After Breakfast, visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Himalayan Zoological Park, Observatory Hill, Refugee Self-Help Center etc. Evening walk around town.
Day 03. Darjeeling to Maneybhanjang(Drive) to Gairibas(Trek).
Early Morning drive to Maneybhanjang (26 km.). Breakfast. Trek begins to Gairibas(2621 M). Trek takes through silver fir forests along the boarder with Nepal. Trek path is fairly steep all the way up to the Dak Bangalow crowning the Tonglu Peak(3070M) magnificient view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and Darjeeling Hills. Dinner and Rest.
Day 04. Gairibas to Sandakphu. Breakfast. Trek through Rhododendron, Magnolia and Oak forests after reaching Kalpokhri (14 km.) 3 kms. Steep climb to Sandakphu (3636 M). Stay at bungalow house or tented camp. Unforgettable view of Mt. Everest (highest mountain of the world) at one end and Mt. Kanchenjunga (third highest mountain of the world) ranges at the other end. The whole range spread out in front. Dinner and rest.
Day 05. Sandakphu to Phalut. Breakfast. Trek begins for Phalut (3600 M). Fairly level trek till the last few kilometers from Phalut. It is the tri-junction of Sikkim, Nepal and West Bengal. Dinner and Rest.
Day 06. Phalut to Ramam. Breakfast. Trek to Ramam (14 Km) through descending by forest bridal path till Ramam river, crossed by bridge, further 3 Km. Trek – Ramam Youth Hostel (2526 M) an ideal camping site. Dinner and Rest.
Day 07. Ramam to Rimbik. Breakfast. Descending trek via; Shreekhola, from where road rises till Rimbik forest bungalow or Youth Hostel. Small typical village bazar. Dinner and Rest.
Day 08. Rimbik to Bijanbari. Breakfast. Start descending trek till Jhepi bungalow (1250 M) 17 Km. From Rimbik. Further 2 Km. Climb till Kaijali (village) road descends till it reaches Bijanbari (762 M) about 6 Km. Small bazar. Motorable road to Darjeeling. Dinner and Rest.
Day 09. Bijanbari to Darjeeling (Drive) or Singla (Trek) for Sikkim Trek. Breakfast. Drive to Darjeeling. Check in Hotel. Hot sawer bath and relax. Or, you can continue with Sikkim Trek. If the trekkers have Sikkim programme, then continue the fairly easy trek to Singla. Further, 1km. Trek to Naya Bazar(Sikkim).
Day 10. Darjeeling to Airport or Sikkim Trek Continues.
Breakfast. Either, drive to Bagdogra or Bhadrapur Or, to Yuksam (Sikkim).
