A 3 day tour following the romantic and quiet roads of the Cotswolds. In this area of outstanding natural beauty our suggested route will take you through small country towns, villages of honey coloured stone and along quiet river valleys.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: 12.30 pm: after a full briefing on how to get the most out of your car, take the road west out of London through Henley on Thames. Follow the signs to Oxford and then on towards Burford with its many antique shops. Then on again to Northleach and through the small country lanes around Chedworth to end the day in Cheltenham. Overnight and dinner at The Queens Hotel.
Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel and then follow the road to Winchcombe and the 14th Century village of Stanway and then into Broadway with its 15th Century pub the Lygon Arms. It's a short drive to Chipping Camden and then follow the route of the old Roman road to Stow on the Wold, the highest village in the Cotswolds. At the end of the afternoon follow the quiet country roads through Upper and Lower Slaughter and back to Cheltenham. Overnight and dinner at The Queens Hotel.
Day 3: Breakfast at the hotel and then follow the road to Cirencester which has been a market town since Roman times. Then follow the route map which will take you to Lechlade, Faringdon and on through the Vale of the White Horse to Wantage and Reading. Then back into central London to arrive at around 12.30 pm.
