This 3 day tour combines a perfect mix of the ancient cities of Cambridge and Norwich, the wild bird sanctuaries and wetlands of Norfolk and medieval villages and hamlets of Norfolk.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: 12.30 pm: after a full briefing on how to get the most out of your car, take the road north out of London towards Cambridge. Take some time to wander through the University grounds before taking the road to Ely with its magnificent cathedral. At the end of the day follow the road across the Fens to your hotel just outside of Kings Lynn. Overnight and dinner at The Congham Hall Hotel.
Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel and then follow the road to Heacham and the national collection of lavender. Follow the coast road past the RSPB bird sanctuaries at Burnham Norton and Blakeney. Then on through the 16th century village of Heydon to the city of Norwich. This city's history dates back thousands of years and after taking time to wander through its ancient streets and alleys take the country roads route back to your hotel. Overnight and dinner at The Congham Hall Hotel.
Day 3: Breakfast at the hotel and then follow the road to Wisbeech with its riverside gardens and Georgian architecture. Then follow the route map which will take you to Peterborough with its magnificent Cathedral then onto the A1 which is on the route of the old Roman Road and follow this road back into central London to arrive at around 12.30 pm.
