Cote d'Azur. This is about seeing and being seen...the land of sunshine and dreamy summer afternoons, glittering azure waters, lively resorts and island hideaways, all basking contentedly beneath a benevolent summer-long sun. What better way to explore the south of France than by private luxury yacht?
Your Itinerary:
Option French Riviere:
Day 1 - Embark at the Port of Nice and cruise to Plage Pampelonne, a popular stretch of golden sand close to St Tropez. Explore the old town that evening, and after dinner head for La Cave des Rois a club synonymous with St Tropez.
Day 2 - Relax off Plage Pampelonne and have lunch at Club Cinquante Cinq, or for the more outrageous, try La Voile Rouge – more like an outdoor night club.
Day 3 - Off to the Porquerolles Islands to swim and relax; this is a stunning chain of small islands with beautiful beaches.
Day 4 - Head eastwards again, and a choose from a host of bustling towns and sandy beaches; Juan Les Pins…Antibes…Garoupe Bay…
Day 5 - Wake up at Cannes, explore the town and choose from the numerous designer shops, restaurants, clubs and casinos.
Day 6 - Cruise to St Jean Cap Ferrat and Villefranche, stopping en-route at the exclusive Hotel du Cap at Cap d’Antibes.
Day 7 - On to Monaco, and join in the hectic social calendar: the Grand Prix, the Opera, concerts, tennis tournament… aperitifs at the Hotel de Paris, dinner at Rampoldis, and dancing at Jimmyz nightclub.
Option Corsica:
Day 1 - Start in the north at Cap Corse; visit the ancient capital of Bastia, and the pretty port of Saint Florent - like an out-of-season Saint Tropez.
Day 2 - Calvi will impress with the variety of its beauty; an imposing old citadel with a pretty marina at it’s foot.
Day 3 - Head south to Girolata, a pretty little village with rocky inlets, and a superb anchorage.
Day 4 - Ajaccio perches on a beautiful sweeping bay; this is a working town with a charm all of its own.
Day 5 - Continue down the west coast; an area of outstanding and varied natural beauty with excellent sailing conditions.
Day 6 - Enter Bonifacio harbour via a cleft in the rock face, and the beauty of this place will hit you. The old town is perched on impressive limestone cliffs. Explore the old citadel and stroll the pretty cafe and restaurant-lined harbour.
Day 7 - Head out to the Madalenas, a beautiful set of islands just between Corsica and Sardinia. This area is perfect for anchoring, and for water sports.
