Doing this trip the passenger will have the opportunity to go on to Tarapoto where you will be able to go to Lima or any destiny of Peru by airplane or car/bus through the Andes of Peru, knowing about its mountains and history.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1, Sunday: We will leave Iquitos at noon sailing up river. Enjoying of the view from our observations areas. We will do a small excursion to look for a small town on the Amazon and see the local people live in harmony with the rain forest. Later returning to the ship we will have the dinner where the head guide will explain the next day program. While we will be sailing up river passing the juncture of the Ucayali and Maraņon river where the Amazon River begins.
Day 2, Monday: Early morning bird watching on the third deck. Coffee and tea available in the dining room. Then we will have breakfast on board. After that we will visit the first area of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, we will sail into the beautiful black water lake San Martin and visit the local community in order to see their traditional life and by or trade handicrafts. We will have expedition buy boat to the Reserve to see birds and wild animals in this protected natural area. We will spend the night sailing and observing the stars at night.
Day 3, Tuesday: Early morning we will have a bird watching excursion. Breakfast on board. After that we will prepare for another excursion on boat into the pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Return to the ship we will have lunch in the comfortable dining room and continue our up river trip. We will have a small walk into the rain forest to explore it, observing the wildlife and plants, the tour guide will explain about their characteristics. Dinner on board.
Day 4, Wednesday: We will end our trip into the Maraņon River and start the trip into the Huallaga River. Breakfast on board. We will do an excursion into the protected area of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve again, the guide will share his knowledge about the trees and plants of this rain forest. This area is so big and the variety of wildlife is huge. Lunch on board. The river will be more narrow and shallow, beautiful time to take pictures from the ship. Later we will do an excursion to the jungle in order to see birds, monkeys and sloths. We will spend our last night on board.
Day 5, Thursday: Early morning arrival at the port of Yurimaguas. This area is connected by road to the Andean of Peru, the coast and the rest of the country. From this point you will able to start a new trip to another destiny of our country.
