Small beautiful hotel in the small quite village of Azogires is proud to announce that there is a possibility of hiking tours in the most beautiful mountain paths of western Crete.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arriving into the airport of Chania. Transfer to the hotel which is in the mountains about 550meters above the sea level with the fantastic view to the mountains and the sea. If there is enough time trip to the city of Palohora which is 7km away.

Day 2: The local foot trip that starts directly from the hotel and coming through the mountains to the village of Anidri total distance is 14km. On your way you will see the old monastery in the mountains, which is now a museum. Also there is an old school and later old Turkish settlement, the school and settlement is now abounded, and there is no asphalt road leading there. Also you see the beautiful gorge and many perfect views to the mountains. We pick you up at the village of Andidri and deliver back to hotel.

Day 3: Well known gorge of Samaria, with the fantastic views wiled goats kri-kri. This gorge is very famous among hikers from all over the world, by its beauty. You start from the city of Omalos and then you go down through out the gorge until the city of Agia Rumely there you can take a ship to Paleohora, and from Paleohora we pick you up to Azogires.

Day 4: Again from the village of Azogires you walk up to the mountain to the cave of 98 holly fathers, the cave is located about 1000 meters above the sea level and has a fantastic view from the top of the mountain it is located. Then you can see the cave where 98 holly fathers lived in 12th century. There is no transfer at this day since it is not required. If there is enough time, trip to the beach of Paleohora.

Day 5: We transfer you to well known gorge of Agia Irini, which is full of pine trees, with their beautiful aroma. And then we pick you up and meet you at the end of this gorge and deliver you back to the hotel.

Day 6: The coastal footpath from the city of Paleohora to the city of Sougia. You will pass the beautiful mountain pass along the coast with many perfect views and some archaeological sites.

Day 7: Transfer back to the airport of Chania.
