Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: La Paz – Copacabana. Morning departure to Copacabana. During the drive we will be able to see the magnificent Lake Titicaca and the spectacular Cordillera Real. At the half way point, we will take a ferry the Strait of Tiquina. We will reach Copacabana in three hours. We start our hike at a placed called La Gruta, following the Inca trail that goes up to a pass with spectacular views over the Titicaca; then we hike to Sampaya to go down to the bay to take a boat to the Island of the Sun. Land near the Inca monuments of Pilkokaina and hike to La Estancia Ecolodge. Includes: (L, D).
Day 2: Copacabana – Island of the Sun. Do not miss the sunrise! After breakfast we take you by boat to La Chincana to start a hike crossing most of Island of the Sun for 4 to 5 hours. Lunch and free afternoon to enjoy the area.
Day 3: Copacabana – La Paz. Today we hike to the village of Yumani, known as the garden of the Incas. We hike down to the bay to take a boat back to Copacabana where we visit the Vírgen Morena and its church. Lunch. Return to La Paz or transfer to Puno, Peru.
