Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Beijing. Upon arriving in Beijing, transfer to hotel, free at leisure at your four-star hotel or explore the city on your own. Stay in Beijing Qianmen Jianguo Hotel or similar for three nights.
Day 2: Beijing. Today's tour takes you to Tienanmen Square and the Forbidden City, then the picturesque Summer Palace. The evening is at leisure with an optional program Peking Opera. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 3: Beijing. In the morning make the short journey to the Great Wall of China for a memorable walk along its ramparts. After lunch pay a visit to Ming Tombs, the burial place of thirteen Ming Dynasty emperors and their families. We'll visit one of them. Return to Beijing and the rest of the day at free. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 4: Beijing/ Xian. Take a morning flight to Xian ancient capital city. The city tour begins with Shaanxi Historical Museum to open the history book, then visit the Great Mosque and City Wall. In the evening you may choose an optional program singing and Dancing Performance of Tang. Overnight at Diamond International Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Xian/ Lanzhou. In the morning visit the Terra gotta Warriors, in the afternoon pay a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda where the Tang monk Hientsang translated the Buddhist scriptures he brought from India. After dinner, take an evening flight to Lanzhou. Overnight at Jinjiang Sun Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 6: Lanzhou. Visit Binglingsi Grottoes in the morning. In the afternoon visit Gansu Provincial Museum, the Yellow River Scenic zone. Take a overnight train T657 to Jiayuguan. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 7: Jiayuguan. Arrive at Jiayuguan early in the morning, visit the over-hanging Great Wall. Jiayuguan Pass lies at the western terminal of the Great Wall. The Wei and Jin Mural Tombs. Overnight at Jiayuguan Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 8: Jiayuguan/ Dunhuang. Drive to Dunhuang, it takes about 6 hours. After a short break at the hotel, visit Dunhuang Museum, afterwards the Echoing-Sand Dune and Crescent-moon Spring. Overnight at The Silk Road Dunhuang Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 9: Dunhuang/ Urumqi. Visit the world-known art gallery Mogao Grottoes in the morning, in the afternoon, visit Yangguan Pass, the boundary between China and Western regions more than 2000 years ago. After dinner, take flight to Urumqi. Overnight at Xinjiang Grand Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 10: Urumqi. In the morning visit the Heavenly Mountain including a boat ride on the Heavenly Lake. You may also have a chance to visit a nomadic family. After dinner, take an evening flight to Kashgar. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 11: Kashgar. Touring the well known Sunday Bazzar in the morning and visit the largest Idkah Mosque and Apakh Hoja Tomb in the afternoon. Overnight at Seman Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 12: Kashgar/ Urumqi. Half day tour to Silk Road Museum, a good place getting to know the history and culture of the silk road. Then take the noon flight to Urumqi. A visit of the Exhibition of Ethnic Customs will be arranged. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 13: Urumqi/ Shanghai. Take a morning flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, visit Shanghai Museum and the Jade Buddha Temple with an evening optional program acrobatics show. Overnight at Hotel General or similar. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 14: Shanghai/ Departure. Free till transfer to the airport for flight home. Includes: (B).
